Jalen Hurts Over 49.5 Rushing Yards

Jalen Hurts has been electric with his legs, as he led all quarterbacks with 784 rushing yards last season. He then got this campaign off to a flying start in Detroit, to the tune of 90 yards on the ground on 17 carries, plus a touchdown.

He did finish the final three contests in 2021 with less than the required 50 yards to win the first leg of this bet – however, the six games before that he had at least 55 yards on the ground in all of them. He’s up against the 20th-ranked rush defense from a year ago (according to Pro Football Focus), so he’ll have his opportunities to go over the 49.5 mark.

Kirk Cousins Over 269.5 Passing Yards

In the first game of the season against the arch-rival Green Bay Packers, Kirk Cousins was effective, going 23-for-32 for 277 yards and a pair of touchdowns. There has always been this stigma (at times justified) that Cousins isn’t good in primetime games. He has won his last two contests on Monday Night Football, perhaps ever so slowly changing the narrative.

Dating back to last year, he’s surpassed at least 250 yards in his last three outings. With star receiver Justin Jefferson (more on him later), continuing to churn up huge chunks of yards, that’ll benefit Cousins immensely. He’s up against the 19th-ranked defense from a year ago, plus a squad that gave up 35 points to Detroit in Week 1.

Justin Jefferson Over 91.5 Receiving Yards

The aforementioned Justin Jefferson has been an absolute freak, as evidenced by his ridiculous Week 1 performance, where he caught nine passes for 184 yards and two TDs against Green Bay. Dating back to 2021, that’s the third game in his last four that he’s amassed at least 107 yards.

He also has the extra motivation to stick it to the Eagles, who he thought were going to draft him in 2020. Instead, they chose Jalen Reagor. Six of his last ten games Jefferson has racked up at least 107 receiving yards. In those other four contests it wasn’t like he was totally neutralized either, gaining 83, 79, 58 and 47 yards.

If we’re going to pull for Cousins to go over 269.5 passing yards for this Vikings vs Eagles same-game parlay, it would stand to reason it makes sense to also pair that with Justin Jefferson to have another monster game (he was second in yardage last season). He must definitely be considered in your Vikings vs Eagles prop picks with the Vikings continuing to be aggressive through the air vs the Eagles.
