Coming off of a disappointing loss at Denver, the 2-6 Cleveland Browns have opened as 3-point favorites for their Week 10 matchup with the 6-2 Buffalo Bills. The Browns are in the midst of a tough season, but the Bills vs Browns line indicates that Cleveland may turn things around against Josh Allen and the Bills.

Buffalo Bills vs Cleveland Browns Odds

Team Spread Total
Buffalo Bills +3 (-125) Over 41.5 (-110)
Cleveland Browns -3 (+105) Under 41.5 (-110)

Odds taken Nov. 3, 2019.

Browns’ Woes Persist

Cleveland’s woes continued Sunday with a 24-19 loss on the road at Denver. Bronco starter Joe Flacco is out for the season, but even against backup Brandon Allen, the Browns could not get the job done.

While it was an overall disappointment, it was the Browns defense that especially struggled. The Broncos averaged 6.4 yards per carry on Sunday, as well as 7 yards per play.

Make no mistake, the offense had its own issues as well. The Browns were 6-of-15 on third down against the Bronco defense, and 0-of-2 on fourth down attempts.

Bills Back on Track

Week 8 saw Buffalo lose to the Eagles by a score of 31-13, but on Sunday, the Bills regained their momentum with a 24-9 victory over the Washington Redskins.

The Bills defense was stout on Sunday, holding Washington to just 243 yards of offense. Dwayne Haskins completed 68.2% of his throws, but he was limited to only 6.5 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile, Josh Allen was solid once again. With a big lead in the first half, much of the game was spent pounding the run, but on 20 attempts he finished with a passer rating of 110.4.

Now at 6-2, this Buffalo team has been one of the league’s biggest surprises.

Will the Line Move?

The Browns opening as a 3-point favorite was certainly surprising. Often, when lines raise eyebrows at the opening, they’re bound to see some significant movement.

The struggles in Cleveland have kept this team in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Despite all the hype they generated during the offseason, they have seemingly entered a tailspin in 2019.

Meanwhile, the Bills are a balanced team that plays good defense, and while Allen hasn’t been asked to do a ton, he has seen improvement in his sophomore season.

Considering the public opinion on these two teams, it would be surprising if this line didn’t move in favor of the Bills in this Week 10 matchup.
