Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will meet Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers to decide the NFC representative in Super Bowl 55 on Sunday. It took three tries but the Buccaneers finally beat the New Orleans Saints to advance to this game. The Packers beat the Los Angeles Rams in a game that was never really in doubt for their right play this weekend.

This is the second time these two teams have met this season after Tampa Bay demolished Green Bay in Week 6 38-10. The Packers are favored by 3-points in this matchup and there are plenty of player props to consider.

Don’t Forget About Ronald Jones

With all the talk of “Playoff Lenny” this week, it is easy to forget about Ronald Jones. He was held out of Tampa Bay’s Wild Card win over Washington due to injury which opened the door for Leonard Fournette. But after last week’s performance against the Saints, Jones appears to be fully healthy. Since that is the case, he is worth a look in the prop market.

Only eight teams gave up more yards per rush attempt (4.6) this season than the Packers. They were 18th in the NFL DVOA during the regular season according to Football Outsiders so they represent a nice attack surface for Tampa Bay.

Tampa is likely to use a 55/45 split in carries between their two running backs which means the possibility of 12+ carries for Jones.

In the last two games Jones has played with Fournette available, Jones topped 12 carries in both. In those games the least amount of yardage gained was 62 yards. He is more than capable of breaking off long runs as he has had a 12+ yard carry in five of his last six appearances including a 98 yard scamper against Carolina. If he gets his normal workload, he is a great bet to go over his rushing total.

The Pick: Ronald Jones Over 35.5 Rushing Yards (-112)

Who Finds the End Zone?

The Green Bay Packers gave up 19 touchdowns to opposing running backs in the regular season, so it makes sense to look at that group first. Five were through the air and 14 were on the ground. Fournette profiles at the kind of back to take advantage in either area.

Fournette has scored via the pass and the run so far in this season’s playoffs. He is getting the goal line work at the moment for the Buccaneers, so if-and-when Tampa Bay has the ball inside Green Bay’s five yard line, “Playoff Lenny” should get the call. At +130, Leonard Fournette is a good value to score on Sunday.

Pick: Leonard Fournette – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+130)
