The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lived up to their Super Bowl-favorite billing by dispatching the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

Tom Brady looked like a title-seeking pivot, picking apart the Falcons for 368 yards and four TD strikes, including a pair to old reliable Rob Gronkowski.

With the Packers on a bye, the Chiefs playing Sunday night and the Bills on tap for Monday, there were other squads jockeying up and down the leaderboard.

Kyler Murray is back, and was business as usal against the Bears, while the Chargers may have caught bettors’ eyes, dispatching a Bengals’ side that had looked dominant in their last two outings.

Let’s sort out the latest 2022 Super Bowl odds after Sunday’s early and late slates.

Chargers Climb After Beating Bengals

After a 4-1 start that had them looking like legit contenders, the Chargers haven’t lived up to the billing since, dropping four of their last six, and grip of the ultra-competitive AFC West.

A win against a good Cincinnati team might get them back on track.

Justin Herbert continued his personal recent streak of strong play, with his third straight game surpassing 300+ yards passing, with three TD passes against in a 41-22 beatdown of the Bengals in Cincinnati.

The team still has their lapses: a pair of Austin Ekeler fumbles helped the Bengals close a 24-0 deficit to 24-22 before the defense came through, when Tevaughn Campbell scooped up a fumble and rumbled 61 yards for a touchdown to settle things down.

The Chargers opened the week with +2800 odds, and have improved to +2000, alone in 10th in the Super Bowl odds.

While Herbert is en route to becoming one of the great QB’s in the game, it’s hard to back the Chargers as even a longshot wager on a team with the second-worst run defense in the NFL.  Proceed at your own risk.

Cincinnati Struggles, Fades

After a two-game funk that had them lit up in losses to both the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns, the Bengals looked to have the ship righted with blowout wins over both the Raiders and Steelers, outscoring them 73-23.

But they didn’t show up early for this one, falling behind 24-0 with more than 10 minutes to go in the second quarter. Ja’Marr Chase lost what looked like a scoring toss into an interception.

On the other end, Jalen Guyton outfought a Bengals defender for a potential interception that turned into a touchdown.

Things could get worse for Cincy as well, as Joe Burrow suffered a dislocated pinky finger on his throwing hand in the second quarter after a TD run. He continued to play through the injury, but was ineffective, finishing with a pair of interceptions while throwing for 300 yards.

The Bengals are a hard team to nail down, and their current +3800 odds (a fade from +3200) reflect that.

Ravens Fall to Steelers

John Harbaugh played to win the game. Unfortunately for the Ravens, they didn’t. A late TD score to Sammy Watkins brought the Ravens to within a 20-19 mark, and they opted against an almost assured Justin Tucker extra point to tie it. The two-point conversion failed with 10 seconds to play.

Lamar Jackson took a beating in this one, getting sacked seven times (3.5 by TJ Watt), while also tweaking his ankle on a fourth quarter run.

Oddsmakers didn’t move their line, however, giving the benefit of the doubt to a team that played a tough divisional battle and came up just short in a game that could have easily ended in victory as it did in defeat. Baltimore’s odds remain at +1300.

Cardinals Back to Top Three Status

The Arizona Cardinals welcomed back quarterback Kyler Murray, who was down three games with an ankle injury, and star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who missed three games with a hamstring injury.

It didn’t take long for the pair to hook up, linking on a 20-yard TD catch to open the scoring, and ‘Zona never looked back, downing the Bears 33-22.

Murray threw for just 123 yards and a pair of scores, but he also added 59 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns, as the Cardinals are the first NFL team to hit the 10 win mark this season.

The defense did their job, sacking Andy Dalton three times and picking him off four times.

Arizona improves from +850 odds to +750, and are rightly the third-best bet to win the Super Bowl, behind only the Buccaneers and Chiefs.
