Three weeks after the two teams were part of one of the scariest moments in NFL history, the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Buffalo Bills in an AFC divisional round playoff at 3 p.m. ET Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.

The regular season meeting between the teams on Jan. 2 in Cincinnati was stopped and ruled a no-contest after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed and went into cardiac arrest in the first quarter.

The Bengals (13-4, 6-3 road) enter this game on a franchise-record nine-game winning streak that includes beating the Baltimore Ravens 24-17 in a wild-card playoff game last Sunday at home. The Bills (14-3, 8-1 home) are on an eight-game streak, their longest since 2020, after getting past the Miami Dolphins 34-31 last Sunday.

CBS will broadcast the game.

Bengals vs Bills Recent History

The last official game between the teams resulted in the Bills winning 21-17 on Sept. 22, 2019 at home. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen threw for 243 yards and a touchdown.

The Bengals have won four of the past six matchups.

Bengals Offense vs Bills Defense

The Bills’ secondary is banged up and faces a tough matchup. The Bengals were fifth in the NFL in passing offense during the regular season and quarterback Joe Burrow has an array of top-flight wide receivers at his disposal.

Ja’Marr Chase had 1,046 receiving yards in the regular season despite missing four games with a hip injury. He opened the playoffs with nine catches for 84 yards and a touchdown last week.

Burrow has +600 NFL MVP odds.

The Bills are hurting in the secondary. Cornerback Dane Jackson (knee) was injured in last week’s game and safety Jordan Poyer is playing through a series of injuries.

The Bengals have injury problems, too, as they are missing three starting offensive linemen. Right tackle La’el Collins (knee) went out on Dec. 24, right guard Alex Cappa (ankle) was lost on Jan. 8 and left tackle Jonah Williams (knee) went down last week.

Bills Offense vs Bengals Defense

Which version of Allen shows up Sunday will likely determine the Bills’ fate. He is as dynamic as any quarterback in the NFL but also prone to mistakes.

Allen was at his best and worst last week. He threw three touchdown passes but was also intercepted twice and lost a fumble that was returned for a score.

Allen has 38 TD passes this year while throwing for 4,635 yards. However, he also has 22 turnovers with 16 picks and six fumbles.

The Bengals beat the Ravens on a turnover when Sam Hubbard returned a Tyler Huntley fumble 98 yards for the tiebreaking touchdown last week in the fourth quarter. It was the longest fumble return for a score in NFL postseason history.

Cincinnati vs Buffalo Injury Report

Cappa and Williams are listed as out for the Bengals and cornerback Tre Flowers (hamstring) is doubtful. Max Scharping will start for Capps and Williams will be replaced by Jackson Carman, normally a guard.

Jackson is expected to play for the Bills and wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring) should also be back after sitting out last week. Defensive tackles Jordan Phillips (shoulder) and DaQuan Jones (calf) are questionable.

Bengals vs Bills Prediction

The Bills are 13-1 all-time at home in the playoffs and that record is hard to ignore. However, the Bengals have played just as well as Buffalo over the last two months and have the quarterback in Burrow to at least keep things close on the road in our Bengals vs Bills picks.

Pick: Bengals +6 (-110)

Season record: 6-7 (-1.7 units) ATS), 1-0 (+1.3 units) ML
