  • Can the Cleveland Browns win their first SNF game ever when they visit the New York Giants (8:20 EST)
  • Last week’s picks went 1-2, losing 1.09 units
  • Who will ball out and help their team’s push for the playoffs?

A Colt McCoy and Freddie Kitchens revenge game on Sunday Night Football? This year truly is unpredictable.

The Cleveland Browns will be 6.5 point favorites when they visit the New York Giants in Week 15 in a game that has huge playoff implications for both sides. But because of injuries and COVID-19, Big Blue will be without some important pieces, including starting QB Daniel Jones and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

If the opposition was any other franchise but the Browns, you might consider this showdown in snowy New York to be a guaranteed win. However, we aren’t concerned with the outcome: we just want to narrow in on which players will hit their props. Let’s explore.

Have the Gall(man)

Wayne Gallman has been making the most of his opportunity this season. The Clemson man usually gets one or two spot starts a year for the oft-injured Saquan Barkley, but he’s never flashed behind a terrible offensive line. This year, that’s not the case.

Devonta Freeman’s return to the Giants lineup tonight might eat into Gallman’s carries a bit, but he should still be very productive if New York replicates their game plan from McCoy’s first start this season. The G-Men ran the ball on 31 of 56 offensive plays, in a game where they trailed the entire first half.

The strength of the Browns defense might be the bad weather they constantly get off Lake Erie. If it’s not a rainy game in Cleveland, chances are the Browns will allow their opponent to crack 30 points. They rank 21st in run defense DVOA, so the Giants should be able to stay ahead of the chains in this one.

With questions around how effective this passing game will be, look for Gallman to have a decent night.

Pick: 1 unit on Wayne Gallman OVER 55.5 rushing yards (-112)

Throwing all Over the Mayfield

The Giants run defense vs the Browns ground game will be the strength on strength matchup that likely decides this game, but Kevin Stefanski isn’t just going to pound the rock all night. As we saw against the Ravens, the Browns are comfortable breaking tendencies and letting Baker Mayfield rip it.

Earlier in the week, I wasn’t confident in Mayfield’s OVERs in this game, but that was before the Giants best corner was ruled out of the game.

With no James Bradberry lurking, New York’s secondary is a lot less intimidating. Deep shots should be available for Mayfield, who has done some of this best work in primetime this season.

Look for the Browns QB to continue a string of great recent performances and hit his OVER in yardage.

Pick: 1 unit on Baker Mayfield OVER 227.5 passing yards (-112)

The Landry Man Can

Jarvis Landry has only found paydirt twice this season, so even though he’s the Browns leading receiver, picking him to score here is a little risky. However, Landry has scored those two TDs over the last three outings, so he is trending upward heading into this juicy matchup.

Not only can Landry get open over the middle but he’s a huge part of the Browns gadget plays, turning reverses into huge passes (which doesn’t help us here) or runs (which we’d prefer). With the Giants secondary looking shaky all of a sudden, getting Landry at 2 to 1 to score looks like a solid bet for tonight.

Pick: 1 unit on Jarvis Landry to score TD anytime (+200)
