The Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills will kick off the 2021 NFL Playoffs when they get together on Saturday afternoon. The Bills won the AFC East for the first time since 1995 to finish as the two seed in the AFC. The Colts snuck in as the seven seed ending the year 11-5.

Indianapolis slaughtered Buffalo 37-5 in their last meeting back in 2018. This time around the Bills are favored by 6.5 points and there are plenty of player props to consider.

It’s Stefon Diggs’s World

The Bills have talent at the wide receiver position but the best one on the team is Stefon Diggs. He was the best pick-up by any team in the offseason, and Buffalo is reaping the rewards at this point. He led the NFL in targets, receptions, and receiving yards this season, and it appears that he is just getting started.

No wide receiver has ever led the NFL in receiving yards in their first season with a team until Diggs did it this year. Simply put, he’s special. He can’t be covered with a single corner and he lines up all over the field so it’s tough to double-team him using traditional methods.

Josh Allen knows what he has with Diggs. In the month of December when the Bills were making their final playoff push, Diggs was electric. He caught at least nine balls, and went over 92 yards in every game. Even in his final game of the season where he only played 48% of the snaps, he still caught seven passes for 76 yards. He should be heavily involved in the Bills’ offense on Saturday.

The Pick: Stefon Diggs Over 7.5 Receptions (+120)

Who Scores?

The Buffalo Bills’ team total has been set at 28.5, which is second only to the Baltimore Ravens, so it’s safe to assume a player from their squad will score a touchdown. Of the skill position groups, the wide receiver position seems to be a good one to target. In the Colts’ last four games, they gave up seven touchdowns to the wide receiver position.

As much as I want to take a guy with longer odds, the fact remains that Diggs is extremely likely to score this Saturday. The Bills are not just happy to be here this season. They are looking to make a statement en route to the Super Bowl. It would be hard to imagine that Diggs is not part of that statement this weekend.

Pick: Stefon Diggs – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+100)
