The 2021 NFL season is (basically) here! The Dallas Cowboys travel to Tampa Bay to take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers Thursday night (September 9) to officially kick off the season. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, FanDuel Sportsbook has showed up to the party with an amazing promo for the game.

Claiming this “Bet $5, Win $200” promo at FanDuel does replace their regular $1,000 risk-free bet promo, though. So if you’ll be starting your bankroll with $1K+, you might be better off sticking with that promo.

How to Claim FanDuel Promo

Claiming this promo is rather easy. Click on the link above, or the banner at the top of the page / below. You’ll be taken to a landing page where you’ll select the state you’re in. After selecting your state, you’ll be asked to provide an email, a username, and a password.

FanDuel will then ask you for your full name, date of birth, address, phone number, and last four digits of your Social Security number. Once you’ve completed the registration, you just need to make a first-time deposit at the sportsbook, and then just place a moneyline wager on either the Buccaneers or Cowboys.

If you register on desktop, you’ll see a post-registration interstitial that pops up instructing you to download the app. Once you’re in the app, you’ll make your deposit and place your moneyline bet. If you’re using the web on a mobile device, you’ll also be instructed to download the app, which will then trigger the market.

Best Way to Use FanDuel 40-1 NFL Promo

The easy answer here is to bet the Buccaneers. As mentioned, they are currently available at -390 odds to beat the Cowboys – Tampa Bay is listed as eight-point favorites. In order to win $200 dollars on Tampa Bay with their usual odds, you’d need to risk $780! With this promo, you’ll win $200 off a $5 wager – assuming they do win, of course.

You CAN still use this promo on the Cowboys, though. Dallas is currently listed at +310 moneyline odds, which means a $5 wager would win you $15.50. So the 40-1 promo is still a big boost to your winnings. However, if you do really like the Cowboys to win this game, you’re better off taking FanDuel’s $1,000 risk-free bet. If Dallas pulls off the upset, you win $3,100. If they lose, you get your $1,000 risk back.

Ultimately, there really isn’t a bad way to use this 40-1 promo. I’d personally be siding with the Bucs.
