Two struggling teams square off when the Indianapolis Colts visit the Las Vegas Raiders at 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday at Allegiant Stadium.

The Colts (3-5-1/1-3-1 road) have lost three games in a row and fired coach Frank Reich on Monday, a day after getting routed by the New England Patriots 26-3 in Foxborough. Jeff Saturday, most recently an ESPN analyst, takes over after having never coached at the college or professional level.

The Raiders (2-6/2-1 home) were 0-2 on their just-completed road trip, including dropping a 27-20 decision to the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday.

Colts vs Raiders Recent History

Over the past six meetings, the Raiders and Colts have alternated wins. Las Vegas notched a 23-20 road victory last season in Week 17 when Daniel Carlson kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired.

Colts Offense vs Raiders Defense

Quarterback Sam Ehlinger will make his third career start since replacing veteran Matt Ryan. The going has been tough for Ehlinger, in his second NFL season, as he has completed 32 of 52 passes in two games for 304 yards and no interceptions.

There has been plenty of turbulence in Ehlinger’s short time as QB1. In addition to Reich getting boxed Monday, offensive coordinator Marcus Brady was fired and running back Nyheim Hines was traded after Ehlinger’s first start.

Ehlinger was sacked nine times in last week’s loss to the Patriots. In all, the Colts’ offensive line has allowed 35 sacks this season.

The Colts have the worst scoring offense in the NFL, averaging just 14.7 points a game. Indianapolis has scored more than 20 points in a game only once this season.

Raiders Offense vs Colts Defense

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is the fourth in the league with 743 rushing yards. However, he has not been much of a factor during the two-game losing streak.

Jacobs had 67 yards on 17 carries in last week’s loss to the Jaguars after rushing for 43 yards in 10 attempts the previous week when the Raiders were shut out by the New Orleans Saints.

In the previous three games, Jacobs finished with 144, 154 and 143 yards. So, it will be interesting to see if the Raiders try to reestablish the ground game.

Wide receiver Davante Adams was upset with the play calling following last week’s game. He had just one reception for no yards in the second half after having nine catches for 146 yards in the first two quarters.

Colts vs Raiders Injury Report

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is expected to play after last year’s NFL rushing champion missed last week’s game. However, three-time All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard (back, ankle) and rookie tight end Jelani Woods (shoulder) have been ruled out along with running back Deon Jackson (knee).

The Raiders placed tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow (hamstring and ribs) on injured reserve this week.

Colts vs Raiders Prediction

Colts owner Jim Irsay hiring Saturday as interim coach was way, way outside the box. However, Saturday knows football, is passionate about the Colts and making his debut against a struggling team. Maybe it’s just crazy enough to work.

Pick: Colts +4.5 (-110)
