Bucs Rebound In A Big Way

Almost nothing worked for the Bucs in their 38-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 9. Virtually the opposite was true on Sunday when they hammered the Carolina Panthers 46-23. Tom Brady finished the day 28-of-39 for 341 yards and four total touchdowns. Eight different receivers caught a pass.

Meanwhile, the running game rebounded well too. Ronald Jones ran for 192 yards and a touchdown, which was a big turnaround after the Bucs set an NFL record for the fewest rushing attempts in a game last week with five.

On defense, Tampa Bay compiled three sacks and seven tackles for a loss. They really slammed the door shut after halftime, allowing just six second-half points after giving up 17 points in the first two frames. They held the Panthers to just 187 total yards of offense. All in all, this was the ‘get right’ game that the Bucs needed.

Rams Earn Big Win Over Seahawks

A lot of people have been wondering just how good the Rams really are. Entering Sunday, they were a five-win team that had four wins against the lousy NFC East teams and then picked up a win against the slumping Chicago Bears. However, they impressed with a big win over the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams led from wire-to-wire in Sunday’s game, holding the league’s highest scoring team to just 16 points. The Seahawks had been averaging 34.3 per game. Very quietly, the Rams now field the second-best defense in the NFL in terms of yards per game and are second in pass defense too.

The Rams pass defense held MVP-candidate Russell Wilson without a passing touchdown on Sunday, which is the first time that’s happened this season.  They also forced him into three turnovers. Stud wideout DK Metcalf entered the day second in receiving yards but was muzzled by Jalen Ramsey, collecting just two catches for 28 yards.

The Rams have done a fantastic job of reconstructing this roster. The offense is effective and the defense is one of the league’s best. They’re a very underrated team right now.

Which Way Will The Line Move?

The Bucs opened as a 3.5-point favorite and it’s hard to see much of a change in this line. The Bucs are at home and are coming off a big win, so it’s unlikely that bettors go against them hear. Meanwhile, the Rams are a quality team in the NFC and they’re getting over a field goal, so that should attract action to balance this out.

Don’t expect a whole lot of movement one way or the other with this line. We’ll probably be at around this number come kickoff.
