Mac Jones will lead the red hot New England Patriots (6-4) into Mercedes-Benz Stadium to take on the low-flying Atlanta Falcons (4-5). The kickoff is set for 8:20 pm ET and the game can be seen on FOX.

The Patriots blew out their third team in four tries in Week 10 to continue a playoff push. This time the victims were the Cleveland Browns who were dragged 45-7 by New England. Jones had his first ever three touchdown game in the massacre.

Meanwhile, the Falcons were also part of a beatdown just on the other side. They were absolutely smoked 43-3 by the Dallas Cowboys in a game where nothing seemed to go right. They were out-gained by over 200 yards in the most lopsided affair of the weekend.

(Due to both teams running backs’ questionable status, some rushing props won’t be released until after publishing.)

Odds taken Nov. 17 from BetMGM

The Patriots currently stand as 7-point favorites and the line could go even higher by the time kickoff rolls around. The total stands at 47 which is a reasonable number for these two squads although more wagers have come in on the under. Just like every other NFL game, there are plenty of player props to consider.

Deion Jones is an Absolute Animal

We don’t give enough respect to the defensive guys in the gambling community so I figured I would Thursday night. Be the change you want to see people. With all of the question marks on offense for both of these teams heading into Thursday night, it only makes sense. We did a prop like this on Halloween with Fred Warner and it was electric.

Now it’s time to back another electric defender that can literally get in on any play.

The defensive prop game is where it’s at especially when you get to bet guys like Deion Jones. It’s difficult at first but when your guy pretty much plays 100% of the snaps on defense, the job is made easier. It’s even easier when you’re getting even money for tackles + assists.

Jones plays an inside linebacker role that sees a ton of action. Especially in games where the other team figures to run the ball. It’s kind of like looking for a wide receiver on a team that you think will be losing. Obviously that receiver’s team will be throwing so your receiver is in play. When doing defensive props, it’s just the opposite.

I think the Patriots will be able to run away with this one at some point but that’s only half the move. Even if they don’t, we should see plenty of runs as they are top-10 in rush attempts on the season. On top of that, Mac Jones has a low ADOT so we can get tackles and assists that way too. Jones has gone over this number in three of this last four starts and given the circumstances, I think he’ll do it again Thursday night.

Hunter Henry Can’t Be Stopped

The New England Patriots have been scoring points all over everybody they’ve been matched up against recently. It’s ridiculous at this point. Less than a month ago they hung 54 on the New York Jets and just last Sunday they put up 45 on the Cleveland Browns. If we’re looking for a touchdown scorer prop, and we are, it makes sense to look at the Patriots’ side.

When looking, one guy becomes and obvious selection.

The Atlanta Falcons have only given up four touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season but that doesn’t matter. Other teams know what’s coming in the red zone but no one can stop it. Henry has scored a touchdown in six out of his last seven games including two last week. Look for him to score again Thursday night at +120.

  • Pick: Hunter Henry Anytime TD Scorer (+120) – Wager 1 unit to win 1.2 units
  • SBD 2021 Touchdown Scorer prop record: 15-21, -0.79 units
