The New England Patriots visit the Kansas City at 7:00 PM at Arrowhead Stadium in a bonus Monday night game.
The game was originally scheduled for Sunday but was postponed when Patriots quarterback Cam Newton and Chiefs practice squad quarterback Jordan Ta’amu tested positive COVID-19. Both teams were tested again Sunday night and the NFL rescheduled the game after there were no more positives on either team.
In addition to Newton, the Patriots (2-1) will also be without running back Sony Michel as they go against Patrick Mahomes and the unbeaten Chiefs (3-0). Michel is out with a strained quadricep.

Prop #1: Brian Hoyer Under 234.5 Passing Yards
Hoyer is in his 12th season in the league and will be making his 39th career start. So don’t expect the 34-year-old to be intimidated by facing a powerhouse team on the road.
Hoyer vs. Mahomes certainly looks like a mismatch on paper:
Patrick Mahomes has 10,310 passing yards in 34 career games.
Brian Hoyer has 10,274 passing yards in 69 games with 38 starts.
A win in KC will go down in history.

However, the Patriots spent all week preparing for the game with the idea Newton was going to be the starter. Thus, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will limit the game plan to an extent.
Even if Newton were starting, the Patriots would likely have looked to rely on their running game. The Chiefs are 27th in the NFL in rushing defense and Bill Belichick knows how important it is to control the ball and keep Mahomes and Kansas City’s potent offense off the field as much as possible.
Pick: Brian Hoyer under 234.5 passing yards (-112), 2 units
Prop # 2: Tyreek Hill Under 67.5 Receiving Yards
The Chiefs took down the Patriots 23-16 last December, where Tyreek Hill had six receptions against a much better New England defense.
However, New England did a good job of limiting explosive plays by Hill. He had just 62 yards receiving, an average of 10.3 a catch, and his longest gain was 21 yards.
That is a rarity as Hill usually saves his best for big games.

While it is hard to keep Hill in check for a full four quarters, the Patriots at least have an idea of how to do it. They know Hill is the receiver they have to stop in the Chiefs’ prolific passing game.
Pick: Tyreek Hill under 67.5 receiving yards (-112), 1 unit

Prop #3: Travis Kelce Scores First
Travis Kelce scored the Chiefs’ first touchdown in each of their first two games before Mahomes had that distinction in Week 3.
Kelce had seven receptions for 66 yards last year against the Patriots. Though he did not have a touchdown through the air, he ran four yards for the lone rushing TD of his eight-year career on a read-option.

— NFLonCBS (@NFLonCBS) December 8, 2019
Kelce has two touchdowns this season while leading the Chiefs in receptions (21) and receiving yards (227).
No defense can cover anyone in the Chiefs’ arsenal but look for New England to again to try to limit the chunk plays and give Mahomes the throws underneath.
If the Patriots neutralize Hill, look for Mahomes to try a deep shot or two with Mecole Hardman at some point in the game.
Picks: Travis Kelce to score 1st TD (+550), 0.5 units: Mecole Hardman to score anytime (+300), 0.5 units
