Each week, Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones is improving. The team is opening up more of the playbook to their rookie signal-caller, and he’s answering the challenge of increasing expectations.
Jones led the Pats to six touchdowns on eight possessions in their 45-7 win over Cleveland. His 142.1 passer rating in that game was the eighth-highest ever by an NFL rookie.

He could feast again on Sunday. Atlanta is 29th in the NFL at defending the pass, 22nd at stopping the run and is the league’s 31st scoring defense. Offensively, the Falcons are #21 in passing, #30 in rushing and 25th in scoring offense.
Patriots vs Falcons Injury Report
The right side of the New England offensive line is hurting. Both right guard Shaq Mason (abdominal) and right tackle Trent Brown (calf) are listed as questionable. The Patriots are also ailing at running back. Both Damien Harris (concussion) and Brandon Bolden (hip) are questionable. However, third-stringer Rhamondre Stevenson stepped in to carry 20 times for 100 yards and two TDs in the win over Cleveland.
Defensively, the Patriots are riddled by injuries. Both right defensive end Chase Winovich (hamstring) and his backup Henry Anderson (pectoral) are on IR. Left defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr (illness), middle linebacker Donta’a Hightower (ankle) and his backup Ja-Whaun Bentley (ribs), strongside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (groin) and his backup Josh Uche (concussion), strong safety Kyle Dugger (ankle) and right cornerback Jalen Mills (forearm) are all questionable.
Rhamondre Stevenson was a beast in his first NFL start.

As well, New England kicker Nick Folk (knee), punter Jake Bailey (knee) and main return man Gunner Olszewski (concussion) are also questionable.
By comparison, the Falcons are dealing with few injuries. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley (personal) is out. Running back Coradelle Peterson (ankle) and left defensive end Jonathan Bullard (concussion) are questionable.
