Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6-1) will get it on with the Kansas City Chiefs (10-4) on Boxing Day. Bettors will be able to catch every play on CBS beginning at 4:25pm ET. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s with a slight wind and no precipitation whatsoever.

The Steelers are hanging on for dear life to their playoff hopes as they are still in the hunt. They had a gritty 19-13 come-from-behind win over the Tennessee Titans last week to keep their hopes alive. Although they are drawing a Kansas City team that hasn’t lost in seven straight games after beating the Los Angeles Chargers 34-28 in Week 15.

The current odds are showing the Chiefs as strong 8.5-point favorites and that number could increase before kickoff. In terms of the Steelers vs Chiefs total, it currently resides at 45 which seems a little low for these two teams. Just like every other NFL game, there are plenty of player props to consider.

  • Due to Covid issues there aren’t many player props available for these two teams. Scroll down to see what is available in the table and the best bets below.

Ben Roethlisberger is Washed

Big Ben is an absolute legend. Nobody will dispute that and if they do they’re probably crazy. The guy has thrown for more yards than pretty much everybody that’s ever played except a handful of guys. The thing is, he is just as likely to throw for less than 200 yards these days than he is to go over 262.5.

This play pretty much sums up Roethlisberger’s year. I’m not kidding.

Last week against the Tennessee Titans, Bad Ben was on full display. He only threw the ball 25 times in the game completing 16 of those throws. The guy never even saw 150 yards. Keep in mind, the Titans have given up the second most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Now of course I hate taking unders but this one feels more like an over on how bad Big Ben will be Sunday. Anyone who has watched even one Steelers’ game this season knows what I am talking about. Pittsburgh will be in Kansas City taking on the Chiefs which is scary because of game script, but still, Ben should find a way to go under.

The thing about the Chiefs is, they’ve only allowed one guy to go over 262.5 passing yards in the last seven games. That guy was Derek Carr and he threw for 263 yards in a 48-9 beating. They’ve seen both Dak Prescott and Justin Herbert in that span too. I doubt Big Ben clears 262.5 passing yards this week.
