The Packers’ playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. One more loss and Aaron Rodgers and Co. can officially kiss their postseason dreams goodbye.

Bettors aren’t expecting a loss tonight on Monday Night Football when Green Bay hosts the Rams, and they’re letting their wallets do the talking.

Money has come flooding in on the Packers today per the NFL public betting trends, which has forced online sportsbooks to adjust the spread past a key number.

Rams vs Packers ATS Betting Splits

Green Bay began the week as an 8-point favorite. They were quickly bet down to -7, and the line held firm until this morning. That’s when the Packers tickets started coming in at a rapid pace.

As of Monday afternoon, 50% of the spread wagers are now on Green Bay, as is 76% of the ATS money. The line has been bumped up to Packers -7.5, but the Green Bay action continues to surface.

Make no mistake, the Packers haven’t treated bettors kindly this season. They’re just 5-8 against the spread so far, failing to cover in six of eight games as favorites.

However, when the weather gets cold, Green Bay tends to play its best football. Rodgers and the Pack haven’t lost at home since December of 2018, winning five of those seven contests by more than seven points. They’ve also covered in eight straight meetings against LA, while the Rams are just 4-7-2 ATS in 2022.

Another reason to be bullish on Green Bay, is the fact that Rodgers will have his top-three wideouts back for this game. Per the Rams vs Packers injury report, Romeo Doubs is off the IR and will see his first action since Week 9. Doubs’ presence allowed Green Bay to release Sammy Watkins earlier today, who was a major disappointment in his short time with the Pack.

Los Angeles vs Green Bay Total Betting Splits

The total for this contest opened at 41 but has been bet down to 39.5. Per the Rams vs Packers picks, each of Green Bay’s past four contests have cleared 40 points, as have three of LA’s last six.

Bettors are banking on a higher-than-projected scoring affair, as the over is drawing 66% of all money wagered on the total. Green Bay is 6-3 to the over in games versus non-divisional opponents this year, and 7-6 overall. Their three highest offensive outputs of the season have come at home, bud that doesn’t mean we should expect Christian Watson’s incredible touchdown streak to continue.

Watson has scored eight times in his past four games and has more touchdowns this season than Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase and Tyreek Hill among others. Seven of his last 15 catches have gone for scores, and that’s bound to regress as noted in the Rams vs Packers player props.

Baker Mayfield made headlines in his LA debut in Week 14, orchestrating 75 and 98-yard TD drives in the final few minutes to steal a victory from the Raiders. Note, the Rams had produced only 109 yards of offense through the first three quarters with Baker under center, and he’s still the same guy that’s on his third team in two seasons.

Mayfield has especially struggled under pressure this season, and generating heat on opposing QBs is one of the few things Green Bay’s D has done well. The Packers rank 10th in pressure rate, and with the Rams boasting one of the weakest o-lines in football, the ceiling on Mayfield and the LA offense is low.

Rams vs Packers Moneyline Splits

As far as the moneyline market goes, the action isn’t as one-sided as you’d expect. Despite being a touchdown favorite Green Bay is drawing just 74% of the moneyline bets and 68% of the handle.

Before you think about betting on LA to pull off the upset consider the following. Over his 18-year career, Rodgers is 28-9 when the temperatures dip below freezing. His winning percentage jumps from 67 to 76 percent in such conditions, and tonight’s forecast is calling for snow and 14-degree temperatures.
