Ravens Extend Win Streak with Rout of Bengals
The Ravens wasted no time dismantling the winless Bengals in Sunday’s contest, quickly putting the game out of reach with four first-half touchdowns, and paying out as 10.5-point road favorites. With the win, Baltimore has now covered the spread in three straight outings and leads the league in scoring, at least temporarily, with an average of 31.4 points scored per game this season.

Dominating Wins over Pats, Seahawks Failed to Spark Momentum
Baltimore has also shown steady improvement during its current win streak, claiming victory by an average margin of over 22 points per game, including impressive victories over Seattle and New England. Despite their impressive run to the top of the AFC North standings, the Ravens have yet to become the sweethearts of the sportsbooks, gaining little ground on the opening lines ahead of recent contests.

Baltimore has not seen their odds improve by more than a half-point from their opening position since its 40-25 loss to Cleveland in Week 4.
The Ravens’ stunning upset of the Patriots did little to move the needle on their opening odds against the Bengals that had them listed as conservative 10-point chalk against a divisional opponent that has been the league’s favorite punching bag this season. Indeed, Baltimore has not seen their odds improve by more than a half-point from their opening position since its 40-25 loss to Cleveland in Week 4.
Texans Coming Off Timely Bye
The Texans have also struggled to find believers at the sportsbooks this season. Houston comes off a bye in Week 10 riding an impressive 4-1 SU run, capped by last weekend’s 26-3 dismantling of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Despite consistently turning in steady performances this season and historically dominating when facing the Jaguars, the Texans steadily lost ground to a Jacksonville squad that was fresh off back-to-back wins over the bottom-feeding Bengals and New York Jets. Houston tumbled to a 1-point underdog against the Jaguars after opening as 3-point road chalk. That marked the fourth time in five outings that the Texans lost ground from their opening position on the odds board, with the lone exception coming in Week 6, when they vaulted to 4-point underdogs after opening at +8 against Kansas City and a hobbled Patrick Mahomes.
Return to Health is Key
Now well rested and somewhat healthier following a timely bye week, can the Texans attract interest from sports bettors ahead of next week’s date with the Ravens? Houston has struggled with a rash of injuries of late. JJ Watt is gone for the season, but the team could have safety Tashaun Gipson and offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil back in time for next week’s contest. Cornerback Bradley Roby may also be available to return after missing the past three games.

However, with the Ravens playing at a level that has spurred talk of Super Bowl contention, it is tough to see the odds tipping against them as the week progresses. Unlike the Texans, the Ravens have avoided major injuries this season.
Ravens History of Dominance No Help to Texans
Baltimore has also put together an impressive track record of success in home dates with the Texans, holding Houston to just 13.4 points per game in five straight victories on home turf. While the Ravens are unlikely to enter next Sunday’s matchup at M&T Bank Stadium perched as double-digit chalk for the fourth time this season, their long anticipated collapse by naysayers has failed to materialize, positioning them to benefit from a betting line that should steadily move in their favor this week.
