When Is the NFL Draft Friday?

The selections resume on Friday, April 28 at 7pm ET with NFL Draft picks by team for the second and third round. The process will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network.

Levis In Free Fall

Every NFL Draft there’s at least one high-profile player whose stock plummets. This year’s poster boy is Levis.

Who knows the origins of that Reddit rumor suggesting Levis was going first overall? The reality is that 31 NFL teams determined the Kentucky QB wasn’t worthy of a first-round selection. It also means that some NFL team can land themselves a QB with curious potential during the second round.

NFL Team to Draft Will Levis

Team Odds
Los Angeles Rams +350
Tennessee Titans +350
Las Vegas Raiders +800
Detroit Lions +1400
Washington Commanders +1400
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1400
Seattle Seahawks +1400
Minnesota Vikings +1500
New England Patriots +1600
Green Bay Packers +1600
New Orleans Saints +1600
Dallas Cowboys +2000
Atlanta Falcons +2000
Miami Dolphins +2500
Chicago Bears +3000
San Francisco 49ers +3500
New York Jets +3500
Philadelphia Eagles +5000
Denver Broncos +5000
Cincinnati Bengals +6500
Carolina Panthers +10000
Pittsburgh Steelers +10000
Baltimore Ravens +10000
Kansas City Chiefs +10000
Jacksonville Jaguars +10000
Los Angeles Chargers +1000
Cleveland Browns +10000
Buffalo Bills +10000
New York Giants +10000
Arizona Cardinals +10000
Houston Texans +10000
Indianapolis Colts +10000

It’s a tie between the LA Rams and Tennessee Titans at +350 odds as to who will potentially draft QB Will Levis who has fallen past Day 1. Odds as of April 28th at DraftKings Sportsbook.

There are four teams within the first seven picks of the second round who could use a QB – the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders.

Looking at that list, Levis seems like an ideal fit with the Raiders. They like players with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. Certainly, Levis is going to fill that bill.

Best Bet: Las Vegas Raiders +800

Hooker Slip Slidin’ Away

If there was a highly-rated QB who most figured to slide into Day 2 of the NFL Draft odds, Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker was that guy. He’s coming off a major knee injury. On top of that, he’s already 25 years old.

NFL Team to Draft Hendon Hooker

Team Odds
Minnesota Vikings +350
Las Vegas Raiders +550
Seattle Seahawks +550
Washington Commanders +800
Los Angeles Rams +850
Detroit Lions +1000
Tennessee Titans +1000
Atlanta Falcons +2000
New Orleans Saints +2000
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +2000
Denver Broncos +2500
New England Patriots +2500
Green Bay Packers +2500
Miami Dolphins +2500
San Francisco 49ers +3000
Arizona Cardinals +4000
Dallas Cowboys +4000
New York Giants +4000

The favored Minnesota Vikings don’t have a second-round pick, so for them to get Hooker, he’ll need to slide to Round 3. That scenario certainly isn’t out of the question. There’d be a romantic quality if the Titans were to select the Tennessee QB but it’s unlikely they’ll take Hooker at 41st overall.

The Lions require insurance behind Jared Goff and they happen to hold a trio of second-round picks. It would be logical for them to spend one on a QB, probably their third choice at 55th overall.

Pick: Detroit Lions +1000

Dolphins Finally Get On Board

Miami lost a first-round pick for tampering and dealt another pick for Bradley Chubb. The Dolphins will finally step up to the podium at 51st overall in the second round.

Position of Miami Dolphins First Pick

Position Odds
Tight End +150
Offensive Lineman +350
Running Back +400
Defensive Lineman/EDGE +500
Wide Receiver +800
Linebacker +800
Safety +1200
Cornerback +1500
Quarterback +1500
Kicker/Punter/Long Snapper +20000

The club will likely be looking to beef up at the offensive skill positions. A running back like UCLA’s Zach Charbonnet is a possibility. There’s going to be a run on tight ends during the second round and that will lead the Dolphins to get in on that action, perhaps a project like South Dakota State’s Tyler Kraft.

Pick: Tight End +150
