  • The Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers will finish off the Week 6 Sunday slate at 8:20pm ET Sunday, October 17th
  • Seattle will begin life without Russell Wilson as the signal caller has been sidelined for at least a few weeks after injuring his finger last Thursday
  • See the odds, spread, analysis, and best prop bets, below

Heinz Field will be rocking when the Seattle Seahawks (2-3) square off with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-3) Sunday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 pm ET on NBC. Temperatures will be in the low 50s but no wind or rain is in the forecast so all in all it will be a nice night for football.

Not only did Seattle lose Russell Wilson to injury last week but they also lost their game to the Los Angeles Rams 26-17. Geno Smith kept them around but ultimately a 13-0 third quarter loss proved to be too much to overcome. Meanwhile the Steelers took out the Denver Broncos 27-19 in an impressive win snapping a three-game losing streak.

At the moment the Pittsburgh Steelers are favored by 5 points in this one but that number could creep up by the time kickoff rolls around. The total is hovering right around 42.5 points making this the lowest over/under on the Week 6 slate.  As always, there are plenty of player props to consider.

Najee Could be Great

This season has not gone great for the Pittsburgh Steelers up to this point. At 2-3, they sit in the cellar of the AFC North a game behind the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns. Still, the season is young and they are sitting on what could possibly be their next great running back in Najee Harris.

Harris is a do it all back who is starting to show why he was worth a first-round pick in last spring’s NFL Draft. Even behind the NFL’s 30th ranked offensive line in adjusted line yards, Harris turned in a 122-yard performance last week against the Denver Broncos. He has the look and feel of a back who will be turning in games like that on a weekly basis soon.

What takes Harris from a good running back to a do-it-all running back is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. The Steelers have been more than willing to use him in that capacity. In fact, no other running back in the NFL has been targeted more than Harris has so far this season.

The Steelers are 5-point favorites tonight and I would expect them to control the game as Geno Smith is starting at quarterback for the Seahawks. One area of concern for Seattle is their run defense. Only one team in the entire NFL has given up more rushing plus receiving yards to running backs this season and that team (Philadelphia Eagles) have played one more game than the Seahawks. Expect Harris to go wild tonight.

Who Scores?

We have to have a touchdown scorer prop because touchdown scorer props are the fastest way to pure ecstasy offering in NFL betting today. There’s nothing like taking a guy to score and then watching that guy take one in. The feeling is even better in primetime and once we see Najee Harris score tonight, you will see what I mean.

Obviously I think Harris is going to have a big night so he needs a touchdown to go with all his receiving and rushing yards. He has no competition for touches around the goal line so there’s that. On top of that, only four teams in the NFL have given up more rushing touchdowns to running backs than the Seahawks.

Harris a great bet to score tonight even at the elevated odds.
