Seattle Could Be Goff’s Tonic
The Rams have relied on their defense this season – quite a switch from Sean McVay’s first three seasons as coach – because quarterback Jared Goff has been inconsistent.
Goff has completed 65.5 percent of his passes for 2,145 yards and 13 touchdowns with six interceptions.
The Rams had a bye last week, but in a 28-17 road loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, Goff had four turnovers with two interceptions and two lost fumbles, negating his season-high 355 passing yards.

The Seahawks should seemingly be the perfect opponent to get Goff on track, especially with starting cornerbacks Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) and Quinton Dunbar (knee) ruled out for the game.
Goff has thrown for at least 290 yards in each of his last four games against Seattle. The Seahawks also are last in pass defense (362.1 ypg) and total defense (455.8 ypg).
Seattle Generates Pressure
Though they were burned for 415 yards by Josh Allen in a 44-34 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Seahawks did have a season-high seven sacks.
Defensive end Carlos Dunlap had 2.5 sacks in his Seahawks debut after being acquired from the Cincinnati Bengals.
Carlos Dunlap in his FIRST start with the #Seahawks had 5 pressures (2.5 sacks) and 4 run stops! Excellent opening game for him.

Safety Jamal Adams added 1.5 sacks after being sidelined the previous four games.
Wilson Looks to Bounce Back
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson remains the NFL MVP favorite.
However, like Goff, Wilson is coming off a turnover-filled performance. He had two picks and lost two fumbles against the Bills.

It was just the third time in 151 career games that Wilson had at least three turnovers.
Wilson has a 71.0 completion rate, 2,541 passing yards, a league-best 28 touchdown passes and eight interceptions.
Last week marked the second time in three weeks, though, that Wilson had turnovers problems in a loss. He threw three interceptions when the Seahawks fell on the road to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7.
The Rams defense figures to make things difficult for Wilson, especially lineman Aaron Donald, who is favored to win NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Rams Rule Recent Past
The Rams have won four of the last five matchups with the Seahawks and the team split two games last season.
Seattle eked out a 30-29 victory as a 1.5-point favorite in Week 5 as Wilson threw for 248 yards and four touchdowns.
Los Angeles won 28-12 as a one-point favorite in Week 14 in the last Rams’ game at the LA Coliseum.
Goff had 293 yards passing and two TDs and tight end Tyler Higbee had 116 receiving yards. The Rams also sacked Wilson five times
Look for Goff to have another big day against the Seahawks and the Rams continuing the recent series trend in this one.
