Washington Football Team vs Philadelphia Eagles Props – Best Team and Player Prop Bets
- NFC East rivals will face off Tuesday night when the Washington Football Team takes on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15 on Tuesday, December 21st

I hate COVID-19 as much as the next guy but it’s giving us the Washington Football Team (6-7) and Philadelphia Eagles (6-7) on Tuesday night which is nice. Kickoff from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is scheduled for 7:00 pm ET on FOX. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-30s with no wind or precipitation to consider. It’s December football time people.
Despite all the COVID-19 issues, the Football Team could really use a win tonight. They hung tough last weekend but ultimately lost to the Dallas Cowboys 27-20 so the playoffs are slipping away. Meanwhile, the Eagles are heading the exact opposite direction after winning three of their last four with the latest win being a 33-18 beatdown of the New York Jets in Week 13.
Given the roster situation, the Eagles are coming into this one as 6.5-point favorites. As for the total, it’s sitting at an ultra low 41 but it could increase as the day moves on. As always, there are plenty of player props to consider and that is what we will talk about here in our Football Team vs Eagles picks.
- We’re highly unlikely to see many player props released before this game as the Football Team still doesn’t know who will start at quarterback. Luckily, there is one that sticks out more than the others.

Just Give Miles Sanders the Ball
Tonight we should see a pretty ugly game when the Washington Football Team takes on the Philadelphia Eagles. We have no idea who is playing quarterback for the Football Team just hours before the game. There is a real shot that it could be Garrett Gilbert taking the snaps tonight.
If you’re the Philadelphia Eagles, why not just feed Miles Sanders all night?

The thing about tonight is the fact that the Football Team’s biggest issues are on offense but that should still affect the defense. Am I happy that Washington is getting back a bunch of defensive linemen? No. Their defensive line is elite but I still think feeding Sanders is the move.
How elite is Washington’s defensive line? Only one team in the NFL has given up fewer rushing yards to opponents so far this season than the Football Team. The thing is, running attacks spearheaded by mobile quarterbacks (Bills and Panthers) have produced 59+ yards games against these guys. We have one such attack tonight in the Eagles.
The biggest worry for tonight is whether or not Philadelphia will feature Sanders. They did last time out against the New York Jets but they’re terrible so why wouldn’t you feature Sanders. Still, he’s gone over this number in each of the last three weeks and has received at least 16 carries in two of those games. I’m betting him tonight.
- The Pick: Miles Sanders Over 55.5 rushing yards (-115); Wager 1.15 units to win 1 unit

It’s John Bates Time
This could be one of the worst football games we’ve seen in recent memory. Or it could be the best. We really have no idea what to expect. The only thing we do know is that we need a touchdown scorer prop. That’s just how prime time games work.
At the end of the day, it’s probably best to scroll down the touchdown scorer list and find a relative unknown.

Here’s the thing, Bates has never scored a touchdown in his NFL career. He’s only played a few so we can cut him some slack. His time is coming. Once upon a time, Rob Gronkowski had never scored a touchdown in the NFL either and we all know how that worked out.
Tonight presents a great opportunity for Bates. We have no idea if Ricky Seals-Jones is even playing and even if he is, how effective will he be? Even if he is playing, the Eagles have given up more receiving touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season than every team except the Los Angeles Chargers. Tonight could be the night for Bates.
