NFL Week 13 Line Movement – Updated Odds, Spreads, and Betting Lines
- Week 13 of the NFL season got underway with Thursday’s Dallas Cowboys vs New Orleans Saints game
- Which betting line has moved the most since opening? What’s the smallest spread of the week?
- All of the wagering information on every NFL game is listed below
When it comes to movement during Week 13 of the NFL schedule, betting lines are only one element of the equation.
The New England Patriots could be putting the moves on the Buffalo Bills atop the AFC East. Is New England the hottest team in that division, or is the the Miami Dolphins, winners of four in a row?
The Dolphins face the New York Giants in a game which (checks notes, rubs eyes in disbelief) holds playoff implications for both teams.
The Philadelphia Eagles will seek to avoid the New York sweep. One week after losing to the Giants, Philly is facing a Jets team coming off a rare victory. And as they play host to the unpredictable Minnesota Vikings, could this be the week that the 0-10-1 Detroit Lions finally put a crooked number in the win column?
Which games are looking to be the biggest movers and shakers in NFL Week 13 line movement?
Let’s look at that. First, though, check out how the NFL betting lines are moving for Week 13.

Houston Still Has Problems
Last week was a rarity for the Houston Texans. They went into a game as the betting favorite for the first time this season.
The outcome wasn’t all that unfamiliar for the 2-9 Texans. They lost 21-14 to the Jets as the 3-point chalk.

It’s back to business as usual for Houston in Week 13. The Texans opened as 8-point underdogs to their AFC South rivals the Indianapolis Colts. That line has since grown to Indy -10.
It’s the seventh time his season that the Texans are a double-digit underdog. They are 3-3 against the spread in the previous six games. The two-point lengthening of the line in favor of the Colts also represents the largest spread movement of Week 13. And with a mysterious illness shutting down Houston’s facility this week, don’t be surprised iF this line grows ever wider.
Honey, They Shrunk The Totals
The most significant movement on the total front during Week 13 is involving a pair of over/unders that appear to be going down under.
The total for the Giants-Dolphins game was small to start with at 43.5 points. It’s since shriveled up to 40.5 Meanwhile, the over/under on the Arizona Cardinals-Chicago Bears game has dipped from 46.5 down to 43.5.

The latter move seems a bit puzzling. The Bears are hopeful of getting starting QB Justin Fields (ribs) back under center. As well, Arizona is anticipating that Kyler Murray (ankle) will be back at the helm of one of the NFL’s most potent offenses.
Oddsmakers must be anticipating that it will take each of these QBs a week or show to shake of the rust of inaction.
Those Spreads Are Tight
There’s also a two-way tie for the tiniest spreads of Week 13 on the NFL slate. The Las Vegas Raiders went into Dallas and won on Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, the Washington Football Team are riding a three-game win streak. A line of Raiders -2.5 isn’t surprising on a game that should be tough to call.
Bill Belichick and the Patriots are 8-4. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers are 8-3. Turns out, both guys are really, really good.

The clash for the AFC East lead is listing the Bills as a 2.5-point pick over the Patriots. Public betting, though, is showing 84% of ATS bets are backing the Pats, so don’t be shocked to see this line get even tighter.
Three At The Price Of 10
This late in the season, with so much on the line, games are supposed to be close, hard-fought affairs. Why is it then that there are three games in Week 13 featuring double-digit point spreads?
As mentioned earlier, the Colts are a 10-point pick over the Texans. Tampa Bay is -11 against Atlanta. But the biggest line of all in Week 13 is the Los Angeles Rams at -13 over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Rams will be coming home in a foul mood after losing in the cold of Green Bay. Since 2010, Jacksonville is 1-10 straight up when playing on the West Coast.
It’s So Tiny
The Giants are 26th in the NFL in scoring offense (18.4 points per game). Miami is 24th in scoring offense (19.5 ppg). That adds up to 37.9 total points.
The Giants (4-7) will be tied for the final NFC wild-card playoff spot IF they beat the Dolphins AND ,,,
The Cowboys beat the Saints
The Raiders beat Washington
The Bucs beat the Falcons
The Lions beat the Vikings
The Jets beat the EaglesSo … Giants fans: 'Let's go Cowboys?' pic.twitter.com/GgWqxQ1KXG

In other words, that this is the Week 13 game with the smallest total (40.5 points) isn’t at all surprising.
A Half Century And Then Some
There’s also a pair of games sharing the largest total of Week 13. The Tampa Bay-Atlanta Super Bowl rematch and the Cincinnati Bengals-Los Angeles Chargers game are both at 50.5 points.
The highest-graded QBs in the AFC:

⚡️ Justin Herbert – 85.8
🇺🇸 Mac Jones – 83.9 pic.twitter.com/4HiD3smGU2— PFF (@PFF) December 2, 2021
Featuring sophomore QB sensations Joe Burrow (Bengals) and Justin Herbert (Chargers), the Cincy-LA tilt is a contender for game of the week in terms of pure entertainment value. Between them, these teams are averaging more than 52 points per game.
