Should you take a flier on Tom Steyer? Or do you suppose that Cory Booker will be the next to go?

Odds are available on which 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate will opt to drop out of the race prior to the next scheduled debate on Nov. 20.

The sportsbook gives both Booker and Steyer negative numbers.

Steyer, the most-recent person to throw his hat into the race, is listed as the -170 chalk to pull out. Booker is offered at odds of -115.

Odds to Drop Out Before Nov. 20 Democratic Presidential Debate

Candidate Odds
Tom Steyer -170
Cory Booker -115
Kamala Harris +1200
Joe Biden +1500
Andrew Yang +3300
Bernie Sanders +3500
Pete Buttigieg +4000
Elizabeth Warren +6600

Odds taken on November 7, 2019. If none of the listed candidates drop out before Nov. 20, 2019, all wagers will be voided.

A race that originally had 26 candidates has dwindled to 17.

Steyer Has The Money To Keep Going

Steyer’s entry in the fray never made much sense. He has about as much chance of winning the nomination as Donald Trump does of being named NAACP man of the year.

Considering his latest numbers show Steyer to be polling at 1 percent, it appears pointless for him to continue.

An Associated Press story alleging Steyer is offering lawmakers money in exchange for endorsing his candidacy broke Friday.  If that’s proven to be true, his campaign could take on water very quickly.

At the same time, Steyer has already met the required qualifications to be on the stage for the Nov. 20 Democratic Presidential debate in Georgia.

As long as he’s willing to throw away his money, Steyer’s personal ego trip figures to continue.

Closing The Book On Booker?

Like Beto O’Rourke, there seemed to be a certain buzz about Cory Booker’s candidacy for the Democratic Presidential nomination. He was smooth, articulate, a visible minority and someone with a track record of success while climbing the political ladder.

Yet neither of these candidates who on the surface appeared to be the future faces of the Democratic leadership could gain any sort of traction.

O’Rourke pulled out of the race last month and all indications are Booker might as well do the same. He’s polling at between 2-3 percent to win the nomination. As well, he’s a dismal 1 percent in Iowa caucas polls.

Like Steyer, Booker has already gained a spot on the debate stage in Georgia. He’s not likely to bow out without giving it one more shot at finding a following.

Harris A Sleeper to Bow Out?

No candidate’s campaign is in a bigger freefall than that of Kamala Harris. She surged up among the top contenders following her spectacular showing last spring in the first debate. As late as Oct. 31, she was still the +380 favorite to win the nomination.

Since then, though, it’s been a steady downward spiral for Harris. She’s at 3 percent in the polls and her odds to win have climbed to +4000.

Reports are that Harris is laying off dozens of workers at her Baltimore headquarters, while lowering salaries and payments to consultants. But she’s also on the debate stage and isn’t likely to exit before Iowa.

Odds are none of the candidates listed will drop out prior to Nov. 20. Since all bets will be refunded if no one pulls out, the best play is to go for the price on Harris.

Pick: Kamala Harris (+1200)
