Harvick Favored To Win

It’s not surprising to see Kevin Harvick favored to win this weekend’s race. After all, Texas is one of his top tracks. Over the last three years, he’s only had better results at Indianapolis and Sonoma. In Texas, Harvick has been in the top 10 in 12 straight races. He’s won in three of his last six starts there, along with a runner-up.

Harvick was in a bit of a rough patch with a 10th placed finish in Las Vegas, 20th at Talladega, and 11th in Charlotte, but he snapped out of it with a second-place result last week. He’s always competitive at Texas Motor Speedway, so consider him a good option for outrights, head-to-heads, and a top 10 prop.

Can Kyle Busch Compete For The Win?

It hasn’t been a good year for Kyle Busch by any stretch of the imagination. He won five times last season and posted 27 top 10’s in 36 starts. Taking a look at his performance this season, he has yet to pick up a win and has just 18 top 10’s in his 33 races so far. However, Texas might offer him a chance to compete for that first win.

What’s to like about Busch here is that he’s led laps at this track in 12 of the last 15 races. That shows that he’s had a car that’s been good enough to win. He has two wins in that span along with nine finishes in the top four spots. He’s eighth in line in terms of the odds and is flying under the radar a little bit. He could be offering some value here.

Erik Jones For A Top 10

Erik Jones is way down the board at +2800 this week as few people are expecting him to win. That’s understandable as he has no wins on the season. However, he’s been quite close as of late. He finished 20th last week at Kansas but prior to that, had finished third, second, eighth, and third in his four previous starts.

Taking a look at his track record at Texas, Jones had a rough start with a 12th and a 22nd in his first two races at the track but he’s been in the top 10 every start since. In the summer Texas race, he was sixth, and prior to that, he was 10th, fourth, fourth, fourth, and 10th in previous appearances. He looks like a good option for a top 10 prop.
