Juve Will Play for Pride

This surely reflects the fact that the Italian giants have nothing to play for but pride after wrapping up the group early.

Leverkusen will go through if they beat Juventus and Atlético do not win at home to bottom-placed Moscow.

However, the draw looks the best value on offer here.

Bayer have made a late run for qualification for the last 16. After losing their opening three games, they have won two in succession.

Juventus beat Leverkusen 3-0 when the teams met in Turin on Matchday 2.

They beat Atletico 2-1 at home on Matchday 4 and followed up with a 2-0 away win at Lokomotiv Moscow.

Juventus beat Leverkusen 3-0 when the teams met in Turin on Matchday 2 with goals from Gonzalo Higuaín, Federico Bernardeschi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the UCL, Leverkusen have won only two of their last eight matches at the BayArena with four draws and two defeats. In fact, they have drawn seven of their last 14 European home games.

Juventus have won four of their five UCL fixtures this season with the only dropped points coming in a 2-2 draw away at Atletico Madrid on Matchday 1 in what was the toughest assignment they have faced in 2019/20.

Second in Serie A

After winning Italy’s Serie A title for eight seasons in a row, they were unbeaten in second place behind Inter Milan after 14 fixtures, with 11 wins and three draws.

Leverkusen were in seventh place in Germany’s Bundesliga after 13 games with a record of six wins, four draws and three defeats.

The last visit by Juventus to Germany ended in a 4-2 extra-time defeat at Bayern Munich in the 2015/16 UCL quarterfinal second leg.

They were beaten quarterfinalists last season when they drew 1-1 away at Ajax but were then defeated 2-1 at home.

Their away form in the competition had been patchy and they had been without a win in four road trips before their 2-1 success at Lokomotiv Moscow on Matchday 4.

The Italians  may be held to a draw by a Leverkusen team determined to claim its narrow chance of reaching the knockout phase.

Coupled with the fact that they have yet to lose in any major competition in this campaign, this suggests that Juventus will not succumb in Germany.

But the Italians may be held to a draw by a Leverkusen team determined to claim its narrow chance of reaching the knockout phase.

Leverkusen have reached at least the last 16 in seven of their last eight UCL campaigns.

In their most recent foray that far, they were beaten in 2016/17 round of 16 where they lost to Atlético Madrid 4-2 at home and then drew 0-0 in Spain.

Pick: Draw +255
