Borussia Monchengladbach vs Borussia Dortmund Odds & Pick: Bundesliga Matchday 25
- This Saturday, Borussia Monchengladbach hosts Borussia Dortmund at Borussia Park, in a match that will be vital to the order of the top four in the Bundesliga
- Monchengladbach only sit two points below Dortmund in the league table, with a game in hand as well
- Currently, the favorites in the match are Dortmund with a moneyline of +108
In a game that could sway the top four of the Bundesliga, Borussia Monchengladbach hosts Borussia Dortmund this Saturday. With a game in hand, Monchengladbach could jump over their rivals with a victory, and still be in great position with a draw. The last time the two sides met was in the League Cup which saw the men in yellow advance 2-1, aided by two goals from Julian Brandt.
With the addition of Erling Haaland, Dortmund’s attack has been nearly unstoppable scoring 14 goals in only six matches in all competitions. With a run of good form, they will want the three points to hopefully jump Timo Werner and Leipzig who are narrowly ahead of them in second place by a mere point.

Monchengladbach Will Test Dortmund
Still with 11 games to play to finish the campaign, Monchengladbach are only nine points away from their point tally from last year. They have played well despite not advancing to the knockout round of the Europa League. Specifically, their attack is threatening, scoring two goals a game this season being led by Alassane Plea and Marcus Thuram with eight and six goals respectively.
Their last loss was all the way back on January 17th to Schalke, and they have managed to win three out of their last five since. Goal scoring will not be a question for them, it will be their defense that’s in question going up against Haaland and England golden-boy Jaden Sancho.

Haaland Is the One to Watch
Surprise, surprise. Dortmund will be putting Haaland down Monchengladbach’s throats this weekend. With Sancho and Reus in support, their attack has totaled 34 goals and 19 assists, which is frankly incredible considering Haaland only joined the club in January. BVB has won their last four against Frankfurt, Paris Saint-Germain, Werder Bremen and Freiburg, and managed to keep three clean sheets out of those four matches, Neymar scoring the only goal.

History favors Dortmund in this match, as they have won 49 meetings out of 113 along with 31 draws. They will have to play away from home, however, which could challenge them in a difficult environment, having only won five from 12 away from home this season.
Best Bet
My best bet for this match is a draw at +275. This bet obviously has tremendous value and will have a very high payback, and it makes sense. Too many people look over this Monchengladbach team, especially because they are playing Dortmund. Sure, Haaland will probably get his goal, but the home team is more than capable of striking back themselves.
Not to mention, their run of form will probably break at some point and given their home record in the Bundesliga, it makes perfect sense for it to be this weekend. A draw is a bold choice, but it is definitely the best option on the spread.
My Pick: Draw (+275)
