RB Leipzig are hot on the heels of the Bundesliga title holders, and this game is pivotal in the chase for their ninth consecutive German top-flight title. Conversely, it is a massive game for Dortmund as well as they sit three points away from Champions League qualification, obviously a crucial feat.

Elsewhere, RB Leipzig looks to erase their deficit in second place and possibly take the table lead in their game against eighth-placed, Freiburg. Overall, this set of matches looks like it has the potential to create quite the exciting weekend in the Bundesliga.

SC Freiburg vs RB Leipzig Prediction

The first significant match taking place this weekend in Bundesliga Matchday 24 is between Freiburg and Leipzig at the Dreisamstadion. Believe it or not, Freiburg has got the better of Leipzig in this head-to-head fixture over the past three years with three wins, one draw and two losses. However, their recent form has been a mixed bag of results. Meanwhile, Leipzig have been cruising, only losing three matches since November 20th.

Leipzig’s last defeat came at the hands of Liverpool in the Champions League but they have responded well since with three consecutive victories. Julian Nagelsmann’s spread out attack could cause issues for Freiburg’s defense that has conceded 35 times this year, the most out of the top eight Bundesliga sides. I expect Leipzig to win this match narrowly with a low scoreline.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen Prediction

Another significant Bundesliga Matchday 24 fixture takes place this weekend between two sides that have been abysmal as of late. In their past 12 games combined, Monchengladbach and Leverkusen have only accumulated one win, in Leverkusen’s 5-2 smashing of Stuttgart.

Honestly, this is probably the best matchup either side could have asked for at the moment given their horrendous form. To be fair, every moneyline pick has great value in this game but I personally favor Monchengladbach to go on and get the three points. They’ve had to play Manchester City, Leipzig and Dortmund consecutively which is not a fair representation of their ability, while Leverkusen have frankly made a miss of some easy contests.

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction

Finally, the highlight of the Bundesliga Matchday 24 weekend, Bayern Munich against Borussia Dortmund. In the past 11 times these sides have squared off against one another, there have been no draws and the Bavarians have come out on top nine times. It is a fixture where most fans speculate on the question, is this the year Dortmund can finally do it? More often than not the answer is no and Bayern Munich defeats them quite handily.

Bayern have been on an absolute tear this year, scoring 67 Bundesliga goals to prove it. Robert Lewandowski has not slowed down a bit, bagging 28 goals so far, which should terrify the Dortmund defense. However, credit must be given where it is due and Dortmund have been playing well as of late, winning four in a row. I think Bayern will win this game easily, but Erling Haaland to score for Dortmund has great value at +102.
