Werder Bremen vs Bayern Munich Prediction

Werder Bremen have earned some breathing space from the bottom three with two wins from their last three. Bremen might be heavy underdogs for the visit of German and European champions Bayern Munich on Bundesliga Matchday 25, but they have happy memories of this fixture. Although in a slump last year, Bremen held Bayern to a draw, ending a lengthy losing streak against the Bavarian superclub.

Bayern comes into this match in red-hot attacking form. With 13 goals in three matches, Bayern have heavily beaten Lazio and Koln before an impressive win over Dortmund. Under pressure from RB Leipzig, though, they could be second on Monday if they lose this match. Of course, they are heavy favorites once again, but there are cracks in their armor.

It’s one league clean sheet in six matches. The attack is blowing teams away, yet there’s vulnerability. A poor day in front of goal and the defense is not performing at a level to bail them out. Bayern is seventh in expected goals against since the turn of the year.

There’s no value backing Bayern to win straight up – but both teams scoring (BTTS) looks a great bet here.

Pick: BTTS and Bayern to win (+135)

Dortmund vs Hertha Berlin Prediction

Fresh off midweek Champions League drama, Borussia Dortmund is back in Bundesliga Matchday 25 action with the visit of Hertha Berlin. Even an early brace from Erling Haaland wasn’t enough for Dortmund to beat Bayern last time out. They are languishing in sixth with just five wins from 11 league matches since the turn of the year.

Hertha Berlin’s form is every bit as disappointing. A win over Augsburg in their last Bundesliga outing was just their second of 2021. If results go against them this weekend, they could be down in 17th by the end of this round of fixtures. Unfortunately, recent history against Dortmund isn’t in their favor either. Dortmund has come out on top in their previous four meetings with Hertha.

Haaland has scored multiple goals in four of his last six matches. He was on the scoresheet twice in nine minutes against Bayern last time out and tormented Sevilla in midweek. The 20-year-old phenomenon is a value bet to score more than once at the weekend.

Pick: Erling Haaland to score multiple goals (+280)

Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim Prediction

Despite spending much of this season with contrasting ambitions, just three points split Stuttgart and Hoffenheim in mid-table. Stuttgart are looking to keep pace with the top six going into Bundesliga Matchday 25, while Hoffenheim will have been pleased to build a gap to the bottom three after taking seven points from the last nine available.

Both teams come into this in solid form. Each riding four-match unbeaten streaks in the Bundesliga, the bookies can barely split the two sides. The underlying numbers are similar. Stuttgart’s expected goals are marginally more favorable, but both teams have underperformed their expected stats thus far.

Recent results are directly comparable, but the strength of Hoffenheim’s opponents suggests a more impressive run from this weekend’s visitors. Draws with Dortmund and Union Berlin were followed by a win over third-placed Wolfsburg. Underachieving through the first half of the season, Hoffenheim are quickly moving towards where they belong in the Bundesliga table.

Both teams to score has hit in 68-percent of Hoffenheim’s matches. That figure is 64-percent from Stuttgart. While not great value on its own at -250, it looks a good bet with a Hoffenheim win.

Pick: BTTS and Hoffenheim to win (+295)
