Pick 1: Borussia Monchengladbach vs RB Leipzig

Red Bull Leipzig’s impressive season took a dramatic turn for the worse in midweek when they were thrashed 5-0 at Manchester United in the Champions League.

So the Bundesliga leaders will be determined to hit back when they travel to meet a Borussia Monchengladbach team whose recent good league form is deceptive – even though in European competition, they held Real Madrid to a 2-2 draw in the UCL in midweek.

Leipzig have won four and drawn one of their five games so far and look good value for a win at +120 at 1:30 pm EST on Saturday.

Monchengladbach have won twice and drawn twice since losing 3-0 to Borussia Dortmund in their opening fixture.

But all those four most recent results came against teams currently in the lower half of the table.

They are priced at +210 to defeat Leipzig with the draw at +260.

The defeat at Old Trafford for Leipzig was a shock result with four of Manchester United’s goals arriving in the final 16 minutes.

It was in stark contrast to Red Bull’s domestic form with three straight wins to their credit in the Bundesliga.

Leipzig are currently maintaining a club record of nine league games away from home unbeaten, stretching into last season.

They have scored 12 times while conceding only three goals in the German league.

At the same time, they are currently maintaining a club record of nine league games away from home unbeaten, stretching into last season.

Monchengladbach are in sixth place. Their two most recent wins came against bottom club Mainz and 16th-placed FC Koln.

They have also drawn during their current unbeaten run against 10th-placed Wolfsburg and 12th-placed Union Berlin.

Leipzig have never lost to Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga and have won five of the teams’ eight meetings.

There was a 2-2 draw when the sides last met in Leipzig last February. Red Bull were 3-1 winners at Monchengladbach in August last year.

Pick: Red Bull Leipzig +120

Pick 2: Arminia Bielefeld vs Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have won their last three Bundesliga matches and scored eight goals without reply.

They travel to meet an Arminia Bielefield team currently enduring a three-match losing streak.

So Dortmund could be among the goals again and look good value to win by two or more at an Asian Handicap -1.5 price of +116.

They are wide favorites at 10:30 am ET on Saturday for a win at -245 with Arminia Bielefeld at +650 and the draw at +375.

Dortmund are in third place just a point behind leaders Leipzig and equal with second-placed Bayern Munich on 12 points.

They were 3-0 winners in the Ruhr Valley derby against Schalke 04 last weekend and then underlined their good form with a 2-0 defeat of Zenit St. Petersburg in the UCL.

Dortmund’s Norweigian striker Erling Braut Haaland has already hit five goals in the Bundesliga this season.

Prior to the Schalke victory, they were 1-0 winners at Hoffenheim as they followed up a 4-0 home success against Freiburg – making it three clean sheets in a row while they scored prolifically.

Their Norweigian striker Erling Braut Haaland has already hit five goals in the Bundesliga this season.

Bielefeld are newly-promoted and made a promising start as they were unbeaten in their opening two matches.

But they have since lost three in succession and are in 14th place with the most recent defeat a 2-1 setback at Wolfsburg last weekend.

That followed a 4-1 hammering at home by Bayern Munich.

Pick: Borussia Dortmund +116 (Asian Handicap -1.5)

Pick 3: Eintracht Frankfurt vs Werder Bremen

Seventh-placed Werder Bremen have drawn their last two games and face a tight meeting away against eighth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt.

With Eintracht having drawn and lost their two most recent games, the tie looks good value here at +300 at 10:30 am ET on Saturday.

Frankfurt are surprisingly wide favorites for a win at -132 with Werder Bremen at +320, which is also a good value option.

Perhaps, however, that is because Frankfurt were on an eight-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga stretching back into last season before last weekend’s 5-0 beating by Bayern Munich.

Prior to that, Frankfurt drew 1-1 at home against struggling FC Koln.

Werder Bremen’s two most recent results were a 1-1 draw at Freiburg followed by another 1-1 draw at home against Hoffenheim.

They have lost just once – by 3-1 against Schalke 04 on opening day – while the setback against Bayern Munich was also Frankfurt’s first defeat of the campaign.

Frankfurt were 3-0 winners in Bremen when the teams last met in June.

Pick: Draw +300
