Derby’s progress to Monday’s final was also dramatic. After losing 1-0 at home against Leeds United in the first leg, they triumphed 4-2 in the second game at Elland Road in Yorkshire. Substitute Jack Marriott scored the decisive goal in added time at the end – his second goal of the night.
