Odds taken on January 11 from DraftKings

Pick 1: Sheffield Utd vs Newcastle Utd

Sheffield United play host to Newcastle United on Tuesday in a meeting of two teams in desperately poor form.

Chris Wilder’s Sheffield side have not won a Premier League game this season and are rooted to the bottom of the table.

They have just two points after two draws and no fewer than 15 defeats.

Steve Bruce’s Newcastle side have not won in their last seven games in all competitions. They are in 15th place with 19 points.

With Newcastle currently enduring a run of five EPL matches without a win, the draw looks the best value at 1:00 pm ET at +215 with DraftKings.

However, the last three of those Newcastle games have come in a tough run against opposition from the current top six which may have made things look worse than they actually are for the team.

Sheffield Utd finally got their first win of the campaign when they triumphed 3-2 at League One Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup Third Round

Last time out in the EPL, they were beaten 2-1 at Leicester City. Prior to that, they drew 0-0 at home against Liverpool and lost 2-0 at Manchester City.

A Newcastle win also looks reasonable value here at +210. Sheffield United are surprisingly made favorites at +145 even though they have lost 11 of their last 12 EPL fixtures.

The odds may reflect the fact Sheffield finally got their first win of the campaign when they triumphed 3-2 at League One Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup Third Round last weekend.

Meanwhile, Newcastle lost 2-0 at Arsenal in the knockout competition.

There was a 3-0 win at home for Newcastle when these teams last met in June.

Pick: Draw +215

Pick 2: Wolves vs Everton

Wolves have been in stuttering form in the EPL recently and could have trouble at home against Everton on Tuesday.

It is four games since Wolves’ last EPL win. Contrastingly, Everton have won four of their last five EPL matches although they will be missing prolific goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin in this fixture with a hamstring injury.

That makes the DraftKings’ offer of +205 for an away victory by Everton look attractive.

The draw is also good value at +205 with Wolves surprisingly favored at +155.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves outfit have slipped to 13th place during a recent run of two defeats and two draws.

They have won only once in the last seven league games and are clearly missing their dynamic Mexican striker Raul Jimenez who suffered a fractured skull in November.

Wolves have not kept a clean sheet in their last 10 fixtures in the top flight.

So their 1-0 defeat of fellow EPL side Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Third Round at the weekend offered some welcome respite.

Even so, Wolves have been suspect defensively in the EPL. They have not kept a clean sheet in their last 10 fixtures in the top flight.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton team suffered a surprise 1-0 home defeat by West Ham United last time out in the EPL.

But they won their four prior matches and are seventh in the table.

In the FA Cup on Saturday, they overcame struggling Championship side Rotherham United 2-1 at home after extra time.

It was an unconvincing win – as was the most recent EPL success, a narrow 1-0 defeat of bottom club Sheffield United.

Wolves were 3-0 winners when these teams last met in July.

Pick: Draw +205

Pick 3: Burnley vs Manchester Utd

Manchester United travel to meet Burnley in a fixture re-arranged from the season’s opening round of matches.

With six wins, one draw and no defeats, United have the second-best record on the road in the competition.

They are the most prolific goalscorers away from home with a tally of 21 and sit second in the league table.

So the DraftKings’ offer for United to win by two or more goals looks attractive at +133 (Asian Handicap -1.5).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United side are favored for a win at -220 with Burnley at +600 and the draw at +350.

There has been an improvement in Burnley’s form recently. They are 15th after three wins in the last five.

They have been inconsistent at home with three wins, one draw and one defeat.

But they could pose a test for United’s forwards after conceding only seven times at home.

In the FA Cup at the weekend, United were 1-0 home winners against Watford. Burnley drew 1-1 with MK Dons and advanced on penalties.

Pick: Manchester Utd -1.5 (+133)
