  • Matchday 25 in the EPL has a full weekend of games, as Liverpool look to further their lead on a title race that might already be lost.
  • Tottenham host defending back-to-back champions Manchester City
  • Aston Villa travel to Dean Court in a relegation battle with Bournemouth. Will Jack Grealish and the underdogs win at +225?

Premier League Matchday 25 is setting up to be an interesting one. There is a lot of action around the top of the table, especially around Champions League and Europa league qualification spots. Leicester City take on Chelsea at the King Power Stadium, which will surely have Manchester United, Tottenham, and Wolves fans cheering for a Brendan Rodger’s victory as they all sit outside the top four.

Manchester United also take on Wolves, as the two are only separated in the table by goal differential. Also level with the two previously mentioned sides, Tottenham play hosts to Manchester City in a game Jose Mourinho will be dying to gain three points in.

Jurgen Klopp and the men of Merseyside look to extend their lead on the title, and lastly, Aston Villa look to stay above the relegation zone against Bournemouth. Overall, the weekend could shift the middle of the table drastically as seven teams are within three points.

EPL Pick 1: Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

The first key match-up to discuss is 18th placed Bournemouth hosting 16th place Aston Villa. The two sides are only split by a pair of points, so a win for Bournemouth could shoot them out of the relegation zone.

However, it will not be easy for the Cherries as Villa are coming off two major wins against Watford in the Premier League and Leicester City in the League Cup, each by a score of 2-1.

The latter propelled Grealish and his newly promoted side to the League Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, which will have the team buzzing.

Either side will have a complete squad with no new injuries, however, Dean Smith’s side will be aided by former Liverpool star Pepe Reina who has taken over between the sticks. This along with Grealish and Mings’ fine form, plus great betting value makes it an easy pick for Villa to win.

Pick: Aston Villa ML (+225)

EPL Pick 2: Manchester United vs Wolves

Another interesting and crucial game counting towards that Europa League spot is Manchester United at home against Wolves. There is no avoiding that United have been abysmal all season. Their lack of consistency and drive has stalled them, and it could be Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s head on the line.

These two sides have had a bag of mixed results recently, and have actually played each other twice in the FA Cup not too long ago. Nuno’s squad were able to force a 0-0 stalemate in Wolverhampton, but unfortunately dropped the second leg at Old Trafford 1-0.

With that being said, no run of good form is safe for this United squad. As Marcus Rashford sits out, their attacking options dwindle, and Wolves will look to capitalize on the break with the likes of Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez who have combined for 15 goals and 13 assists this campaign. Expect the game to finish level as Old Trafford’s crowd will carry them to a draw.

Pick: Draw (+210)

EPL Pick 3: Tottenham vs Manchester City

The last highlighted game is the one everyone is looking towards this weekend. Big, bad Jose Mourinho is hosting Pep Guardiola and Manchester City. Expect the sidelines to be full of action, with even more on the pitch.

Tottenham is trying to beat out United and Wolves for that fifth spot, while Manchester City are just coasting as Liverpool have a monstrous lead. City have finally caught form, while the North London side are still fighting to catch a good run of play under their new Portuguese manager. With Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko still out of play, Tottenham have no realistic chance to stop the City attack.

Despite a heartbreaking loss to Spurs last season in the Champions League, and a draw this season early in the campaign, they will win by multiple goals and cover the spread.

Pick: City -1 (-118)
