Hungary vs France Euro 2020 Prop Bets

France edged past Germany on Matchday 1 thanks to an own goal. They managed just four attempts, one shot on target and 38% percent in the win. They did though hit the post and have two goals called back for offside in the second half.

France looked content to sit back and counter against the Germans once they gained the lead and unleash star striker Kylian Mbappe when the opporunity presented itself. One of the offside goals came from Mbappe himself.

The story will be different in this match as France are unlikely to cede possession to the Hungarians. The lopsided 3-0 scoreline makes Hungary’s loss to Portugal look a bit worse than it should. They came close to getting on the scoresheet first and Portugal’s goals came in the 84′, 87′ and 92′ minutes. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the second two goals and one via penalty.

Hungary held just 31-percent possession against Portugal and held the line almost until the very end. Can they do the same against France? Les Bless should be buzzing and ready to use this match as an opportunity to get rolling in the tournament and I see plenty of Euro 2020 prop bets to tackle in this one.

With likely plenty of touches near Hungary’s penalty area, France to be awarded a penalty (+230) and/or to score a penalty (+300) could offer value.

France to win to nil can be had at -125 and finally if France is rolling, surely Mbappe is a candidate to find the scoresheet. I think France can score in both halves with Mbappe contributing.

Pick: France to Score in Both Halves (+123), Kylain Mbappe to Score (+117)

Portugal vs Germany Euro 2020 Prop Bets

Action in the Group of Death continues at 12:00 pm EST Saturday with one of the best matchups of the Group Stage. By the time this one kicks off, France will likely have six points in the Group F, while Portugal will be on three and Germany zero.

Recent history between these juggernauts is sparse as they haven’t played since the 2016 World Cup, a 4-0 Germany win. There hasn’t been a 0-0 draw in any of the previous six meetings. Portugal has also seen very limited recent historical success against Germany, winning just one of their past nine meetings. These head-to-heads are very spread out though dating back to 1990.

The Portuguese have just a single defeat in their past 16 matches, while the Germans are just 3-1-3 (WDL) in their past seven. At home though, Germany has just a single defeat in 12 and have scored at least one goal in each of their past 18 on home soil.

Sometimes two top teams cancel each other out and despite the talent on the pitch we get a low-scoring match (see France’s 1-0 win over Germany). But in this one, I think once the first goal is scored we could see an open and entertaining affair. Both teams scoring is listed at -130, while both scoring and OVER 2.5 is listed at +130. After a two-goal performance in Portugal’s first game, Ronaldo will be full of confidence as well and is listed at +170 to be an anytime scorer.

Pick: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 (+130 at Bet365)

Spain vs Poland Euro 2020 Prop Bets

Spain did everything but score against Sweden in what resulted in a 0-0 draw, while Poland got their Euros off on the wrong foot, falling 2-1 to Slovakia.

These were the two sides expected to advance from this group, but neither sit in top spot after the first round.

Spain held an incredible 86-percent of the possession against Sweden and registered 17 shots and five on target. The prop for Spain possession in this match is set at 70.5-percent with both the OVER and UNDER listed at -118. Spain has held 70-plus percent possession in 13/14 recent competitive matches across the Euros, World Cup and Euro qualifying. They’ve held 80-plus percent in five of those matches. However, many of those matches came against far inferior opposition.

Without Zlatan Ibrahimovic (injured), Sweden’s whole game plan was to sit back, absorb the pressure and counter. It was ugly to watch but worked in getting them a single point.

Poland are already up against it with an early loss and will need to attack. In Robert Lewandowski they have one of the world’s top strikers and they’ll have to find a way to get him the ball and break up some of the Spain possession, thus resulting in fewer attempts on goal.

The shot total for Spain is set at 16.5 in Euro 2020 prop bets, right at the threshold from their last match. They won’t hold 86% possession again and also should have fewer attempts.

Pick: Total Shots by Spain – Under 16.5 (-125)

Italy vs Wales Euro 2020 Prop Bets

Italy are through to the round of 16 after picking up six points in their opening two matches. But with six points and Wales on four points, first place in Group A is still up for grabs.

Italy is now undefeated in 29 overall matches. One shy of their all-time record of 30 set between 1935 and 1939.

They’ve also kept ten-straight clean sheets and have scored 31 goals since the last time they conceded.

Italy knows anything other than a loss will wrap up top spot in the group. A draw would suffice for the Azzurri. Wales, having drawn 1-1 with Switzerland and owning a superior goal-differential over the Swiss, are very likely to at least remain second in Group A, barring a blowout defeat to the Italians.

In short, the impetus to come out strong may not be there for either side. In Wales’ two matches so far, the first goals were scored in the 49′ and 42′ minutes. For Italy, the first goals in their matches have come in the 53′ and 26′ minutes.

There’s been six goals in Italy matches and only one came in the first half. There’s been four goals in Wales’ matches and just one has come in the first half. I see a slow start to this one resulting in a first-half draw.

Pick: 1st Half Draw (+115)

Switzerland vs Turkey Euro 2020 Prop Bets

It’s third (Switzerland) vs fourth (Turkey) in Group A action on Sunday afternoon. The Swiss are sitting on just a single point after a 1-1 draw with Wales and 3-0 loss to Italy. Their one point is very unlikely to be enough to qualify as a third place team.

Turkey’s zero points are definitely not enough, after a 3-0 loss to Italy and 2-0 loss to Wales. They have no choice but to attack in this match in Baku, Azerbaijan.

With both teams needing the points and no reason to hold back, I think we should see some goals in this one. Both teams scoring at -137 is an option when it comes to Euro 2020 prop bets.

You could also look to individual player goals. Switzerland’s Breel Embolo is among the leaders this tournament in total shots (7), shots on target (3) and shot creating actions (7). For Turkey, Hakan Çalhanoğlu also has seven shot creating actions, while Burak Yilmaz (7) and Cengiz Ünder (5) are among the tournament leaders in shots as well.

Picks: Both Teams to Score (-137), Breel Embolo to Score (+170)
