With the Premier League trophy heading to Liverpool, there’s only one piece of domestic silverware up for grabs for clubs in English football’s top flight. The FA Cup resumes this weekend at the quarterfinal stage, and several of England’s biggest clubs are still in contention.

Manchester City are fancied for their trip to Newcastle as Pep Guardiola pushes for success in the cup competitions after relinquishing their Premier League crown. Leicester and Chelsea, the current occupants of third and fourth in the Premier League, meet at the King Power Stadium. Arsenal and Sheffield United, two sides who have struggled since the restart, matchup in Yorkshire.

The latest FA Cup odds are in the table below, followed by a preview of each Sunday and Monday’s matches.

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

The goal that wasn’t saw Sheffield United draw with Aston Villa on the night of the Premier League’s resumption. Losses to Newcastle and Manchester United followed.

Chris Wilder’s team had their good form halted by the season’s suspension and have quickly slipped away from Champions League contention. It has still been a great season for the newly promoted Blades – the prospect of an FA Cup semifinal at Wembley is an exciting one.

Arsenal beat Southampton in midweek, a welcome positive result for Mikel Arteta after he saw his side schooled by Manchester City and crumble to Brighton. Bernd Leno is out for the Gunners and Gabriel Martinelli faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Pablo Mari and Lucas Torreira remain unavailable, while Kieran Tierney is a doubt, which could see Bukayo Saka start at left-back.

Sheffield United got the better of Arsenal at Bramall Lane earlier in the season. That was a result from the Unai Emery era, but Arteta is yet to have a major impact on the squad both stylistically and in terms of personnel. There have been improvements since Arteta took over, of course, though the same issues remain defensively.

It would be false to claim the Sheffield United we have seen since the break is the same team that massively overachieved before the league’s hiatus. They have looked weary, the squad’s lack of quality has been problematic unlike before.

The absence of fans makes it hard to see a positive result for Wilder’s Blades here. Arsenal look good value.

Pick: Arsenal Moneyline (+146)

Leicester vs Chelsea

Chelsea took a huge step towards confirming their top four spot on Thursday night. Frank Lampard set his team up to absorb City’s pressure and spring on the counter-attack: it worked. Chelsea will have more possession in their Sunday clash with Leicester and Lampard is expected to rotate significantly. The Blues have two fewer days of rest – Leicester played out a 0-0 with Brighton on Tuesday.

Brendan Rodgers’ side drew plaudits aplenty earlier in the season. They should be secure in the Champions League places as it stands, but their form in 2020 is a concern. Rodgers has seen his team win just three of their 11 Premier League matches, and they have been held to draws by two teams bottom half teams since the league restarted.

This fixture in the league was an entertaining one, finishing 2-2. Goals could be on the cards again this weekend with Chelsea likely to start the more mobile Tammy Abraham over Olivier Giroud and Leicester fielding enough attacking talent to take advantage of Chelsea’s defensive frailties. Leicester, led by Jamie Vardy, are one of the best counter-attacking teams in the country and will be able to expose Chelsea with quick transitions.

These are two well-matched teams. Chelsea are narrowly favored according to the odds, but the draw at +220 looks a good bet.

Pick: Draw (+220)

Newcastle vs Manchester City

Playing behind closed doors is bad news for underdogs. It harms Sheffield United’s chances, and that is exaggerated for Newcastle’s match with Manchester City. Newcastle have moved away from the relegation zone, but there’s a chasm between these two teams and a ferocious Geordie crowd was their best hope of toppling Guardiola’s team of superstars.

Steve Bruce hasn’t got the credit he perhaps deserves. The job he’s done this season is similar to what Rafa Benitez achieved last term, taking a subpar squad to safety with games to spare. Both overachieved their expected numbers, which provokes understandable skepticism about the sustainability of these results into next season, but the Magpies are hoping their squad has an influx of top tier talent in the transfer window.

Newcastle’s league position allows Bruce to name a strong team here. If their Premier League future was more precarious, we could have seen their key men rested, but it should be a near full strength side, although Isaac Hayden and Matt Ritchie are doubts.

City are without Sergio Aguero and suspended Fernandinho after his bizarre handball against Chelsea. There are a few other fitness concerns, but Phil Foden is expected to return to the 11, and Guardiola has fresh players to bring into the side including Gabriel Jesus, Leroy Sane and David Silva.

Defensive errors cost City against Chelsea. Newcastle might nick a goal, but the visitors should score plenty themselves.

Pick: Over 3, 3.5 total goals (-109)
