With Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge continuing to wobble, the treble is still very much on for Pep Guardiloa’s men who in midweek booked a UEFA Champions League semifinal with Real Madrid after beating Bayern Munich over two legs.
Ominously for the rest, City have hit a rich vein of form at the best possible time, helped by summer signing Erland Haaland reaching new levels of brilliance and ruthlessness in front of goal. While, of the three trophies on offer, Guardiola may see this as the lowest priority, the prize of a rare treble will ensure they stay laser-focused.

Blades Priority is Return to Prem
For the Blades, this FA Cup run has been a massive bonus in what has already been an outstanding season. Paul Heckingnottom’s men have always had a return to the Premier League as their top priority, and are now only a couple of wins away from achieving this. Almost job done.
Ironically, at the heart of their promotion push have been two Man City youngsters – Tommy Doyle and James McAtee – who they have loaned for the season, so with these two unavailable, they arrive at Wembley with a slightly weakened team.

If Brighton fans thought the loss of Graham Potter to Chelsea would impact their progress, they were very wrong. Under Roberto De Zerbi they have managed to find another level and are still in with a realistic shot at a European place next season.

Europa League Disaster for United
While it’s been a good week for Brighton, the same cannot be said of United who were knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday after losing 3-0 in Sevilla. Minus his two first-choice center-backs – Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane – Erik ten Haag’s men struggled, and that will be a concern for Wembley.
On the plus side, this United team has already tasted Wembley success this season after winning the EFL Cup there when beating Newcastle. This could be a factor.
