Juventus can potentially secure another title triumph in Italy’s Serie A when they travel to meet struggling Udinese on Thursday in Matchday 35 action.

A win would give Juventus a total of 83 points which may be enough. But the championship victory will have to wait at least until the weekend if third-placed Inter Milan defeat Fiorentina on Wednesday.

That would take the Milan side’s tally to 75 points with three fixtures each ahead for Juventus and Inter after the games taking place this midweek.

Udinese vs Juventus

With the prize in sight for Juventus, they can confirm their triumph at Udinese if midweek results fall their way.

However unlikely, Atalanta – currently second with 74 could catch the leaders on points but cannot overtake them because  Juventus beat them 3-1 last November with a 2-2 draw on July 11. Points ties are decided on head-to-head results.

Meanwhile, Udinese are 16th and are not clear of the threat of relegation after taking only eight points in their eight fixtures since the re-start.

The oddsmakers make Juventus favorites for an away win at -177 with Udinese at +460. The draw is +320 with kick-off at 1.30 pm EST on Thursday.

A spell of seven straight wins had come to an end for Juventus when they were beaten 4-2 away from home by AC Milan on July 7.

There is not much value in a win for Juventus – which is likely – so the +320 offer for the draw might provide a surprise return with the league leaders having won only once in the past four games.

After a stumble, they returned to form with a 2-1 home defeat of Lazio on Monday.

A spell of seven straight wins had come to an end for Juventus when they were beaten 4-2 away from home by AC Milan on July 7.

Then came a 2-2 draw at home against title rivals Atalanta followed by a 3-3 draw on the road against Sassuolo.

Udinese were beaten 2-1 away from at Napoli in their most recent outing last Friday.

Before the suspension of play in March, Udinese had gone seven games without a win – although the last four of these were all draws.

The re-start was unsuccessful and it wasn’t until the third resumption fixture that they picked up any points with a 2-0 win away at Roma.

In the most recent three games, they were defeated 3-1 at Sampdoria and drew 0-0 with Lazio at home before the defeat by Napoli.

Juventus were 3-1 winners at home against Udinese in Serie A in December and also beat them 4-0 at home in the Coppa Italia in January.

In away form, Juventus have the third-best record with a total of 10 wins, three draws and four defeats  – scoring 29 times and conceding 22 goals.

Udinese have lost six times at home while winning five times and drawing six games. They have scored 15 and conceded 20 goals.

Pick Draw +320

Lazio vs Cagliari

Lazio’s title challenge has crumbled as a run of four defeats and one draw has seen them slip from second place to fourth.

However, a win at home against out-of-form Cagliari at 3.45 pm EST on Thursday will secure Champions League qualification for Lazio.

Lazio vs Cagliari Odds

Team Moneyline Total at BetRivers
Lazio -210 Ov 3.5 (+138)
Cagliari +540 Un 3.5 (-175)
Draw +360 (N/A)

Cagliari are in 11th place and have not won in six matches, although four have been drawn.

Lazio are favorites for a home win at -210 with Cagliari priced at +540. The draw is +360.

Given the stuttering form of both teams, the best value on offer here is the draw at +360, with Cagliari having tied two of their last three away games.

Lazio were in fine form before the shut-down with four straight wins. But they lost their first resumption game 3-2 away against Atalanta.

Wins against Fiorentina and Torino followed but then things exploded.

Striker Ciro Immobile of Lazio remains the league’s joint-top scorer on 30 goals with Cristiano Ronaldo but has hit the target only once in  five games.

Lazio suffered three straight defeats – 3-0 at home against Milan, 2-1 at struggling Lecce and 2-1 at home against Sassuolo.

A 0-0 draw at home against Udinese offered some small respite but then came last Monday’s defeat at Juventus.

Striker Ciro Immobile of Lazio remains the league’s joint-top scorer on 30 goals with Cristiano Ronaldo but has hit the target only once in the last five games.

Cagliari won 1-0 at SPAL in their opening re-start game and followed up with a 4-2 home defeat of Torino.

They haven’t won since. After drawing 1-1 at Bologna, they lost 2-1 at home against high-flying Atalanta.

Then came two goalless draws against Fiorentina and Lecce before a 3-0 setback at Sampdoria on July 15.

There was a 2-1 win for Lazio at Cagliari last December.

Lazio have the second-best home form in the competition with 12 wins, three draws and only two defeats – scoring 42 and conceding 16 goals.

Udinese have won only four times on the road with three draws and 10 defeats. They have scored 17 times and conceded 28 goals.

Pick: Draw +360
