Pick 1: Valencia vs. Atletico Madrid

What way to kick off the weekend’s slate of games.

Valencia (10-7-6) and Atleti (10-9-4) are separated by two points and two places in the league table, with the former aiming to respond from an ugly 3-0 loss at Getafe and the latter desperately trying to sort out its attack.

Put bluntly, Valencia were played off the pitch by Getafe last week in a result that popped eyes around the league; Atleti were pragmatic in a 1-0 home win against Granada.

That victory — brought by Angel Correa’s early 6th-minute goal — snapped a three-game goalless and winless drought in the league for Diego Simeone’s team, which does not have a league goal away from home in 2020.

Valencia have won all three matches they’ve played at La Mestalla since the start of the calendar year.

Pick: Valencia (+189)

Pick 2: Eibar vs. Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad (11-4-8) are red hot; from a historic 4-3 cup win at Real Madrid to an electric 2-1 derby win over Bilbao last week, Imanol’s squad is 7-0-1 in its last eight across all competitions.

20-year-old Alexander Isak has been a goal-scoring machine for La Real, netting three times already in 2020.

Eibar (6-6-11) have had a rough few weeks, being bounced from the cup by Badajoz and held winless in three consecutive league matches.

Pick: Real Sociedad pk, -0.5 (+123)

Pick 3: Real Madrid vs. Celta Vigo

Zidane’s Real Madrid (15-7-1) are turning it on at the right time.

Los Blancos are 8-1-1 in their last 10 overall matches, with a three-point lead on Barcelona and two winnable games in Vigo and Levante at home on deck prior to Leg 1 vs. Manchester City in the Champions League and El Clasico vs. Barça.

Vigo (4-8-11), on the flip side, just snapped an eight-game winless skid in the league with an important 2-1 triumph at home over Sevilla last week.

Real are firing on all cylinders, while Vigo are still lingering dangerously close to the drop zone. Expect Zidane’s squad to turn on the style in front of an expectant Bernabeu crowd — though Vigo may make things interesting.

Pick: Over 3, 3.5 (+102)
