Inter, meanwhile is in second place in Italy after a 5-0 defeat of bottom club Salernitana at home last Friday.

And it also strongly tipped for a win on the night on Tuesday, with Barstool Sportsbook pricing the Reds at -186 for home success.

Meanwhile, Inter is rated at a wide +500 with the draw at +340. The kick-off is at 3:00 pm ET.

There is a spread offer of +205 for Liverpool to win by three goals or more which offers more value in this market (Asian Handicap -1.75.)

Power of England’s Premier League

Although Inter has been resurgent in recent times – winning Italy’s title last season – this tie has so far emphasized the mighty power of England’s Premier League in Europe.

Klopp’s Liverpool side is second in the EPL and is hunting down leader Manchester City.

Its tough and hard-fought 1-0 defeat of West Ham United at Anfield on Saturday was the side’s seventh straight league win.

Indeed, it has won 12 straight in all competitions. Moreover, it is unbeaten at home for more than a year.

Sadio Mane scored the vital goal against the Hammers to take his total for the season to 14.

Liverpool has already lifted the domestic EFL Carabao League Cup

The leading goal-getters in all competitions are Mohamed Salah with 27 and Diogo Jota with 17.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has, furthermore, already lifted the domestic EFL Carabao League Cup following a penalty shoot-out victory against Chelsea at Wembley.

And it is, moreover, set for an FA Cup quarter-final against either Nottingham Forest or Huddersfield Town as it seeks an extra-ordinary quadruple of trophies.

A 73rd-minute goal from Roberto Firmino and a following 83rd-minute strike from Mohamed Salah put Liverpool in a commanding position in the UCL tie at San Siro on February 16.

And certainly, that result also reflected the fact that Inter was in the midst of a spell of struggle at home – which was only ended by last Friday’s hammering of Salernitana.

Previously, it has lost twice and drawn twice in a dismal spell which cost it the top spot in Serie A.

It has, however, reached the semi-final of the Coppa Italia where it faces a second leg meeting with rivals AC Milan after a goalless first leg.

Reds Will Seek Early Goals At Home

In the first leg against Liverpool, it was the visitors who had slightly more possession – 52 percent in comparison with Inter’s 48 percent.

This suggests that Liverpool can be more dominant on its home patch – and it will seek early goals to kill off the tie quickly.

There were, furthermore, no fewer than 12 goal attempts for Liverpool, which is a big amount in a road trip game.

The tally for Inter, meanwhile, was nine attempts.

Liverpool was credited with 55 “dangerous attacks” compared with Inter’s 39.

Obviously, then, Inter will have its work cut out attempting to tame a Liverpool team that is brimming with confidence and intent just now.

This, furthermore, is against a home team that has a 100-percent record in the UCL this season.

Emphatically, Liverpool won all six of its group stage games in a tough section which also included Atletico Madrid, Porto, and AC Milan.

Inter Was Second In Group Stage

Inter, meanwhile, was second in its group behind Real Madrid – thanks largely to two victories against minnows Sherriff Tiraspol.

The veteran Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko scored twice in the thrashing of Saleritna by Inter.

He leads their goal-getting charts with a total of 16.

Meanwhile, the Argentine forward, Lautaro Martinez went one better and scored a hat-trick against Salernitana – and now has 15 goals this season.

That might inspire some hope that Inter has rediscovered the mood to get the goals they need at Anfield.

Realistically, though, Salernitana was very weak opposition for Inter last Friday and has now conceded 61 goals this season in the league.

Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino and Cameroon defender Joel Matip could be missing for Liverpool through injury.

However, Inter has no major fitness concerns.

Even so, this should be a comfortable win for Liverpool and they look in the frame of mind to rack up some goals.

Pick: Liverpool -1.75 (+205)
