Both Norwich and Brentford look like they will be headed towards automatic Premier League promotion at the end of the season. However, the Championship title is still up for grabs and Norwich is clinging to their seven-point advantage. Norwich vs Brentford will kick off at 12:30 pm EST Wednesday afternoon.
After going on a ruthless four-game win streak, the Canaries are now challenged by the Bees of Brentford, managed by Thomas Frank. Despite losing three games in a row against Barnsley, QPR and Coventry, Brentford has won two games on the bounce in the English Championship.
Additionally, Brentford’s scintillating offense will put Norwich to the test come Wednesday afternoon. With 61 goals in domestic competition, they are an absolute handful and will surely open this game up. Nonetheless, Norwich are the current league leaders, and rightfully so. In fact, they have only lost two out of their last 14 matches in all competitions, which is quite the feat.
Overall, this will be a cracking Championship match between two worthy opponents in the midweek and could have a major role in who lifts silverware at the end of the campaign.

Ivan Toney Is Practically Unstoppable
Norwich are atop the English Championship, and their defense has only conceded 25 times in 33 games, less than one per match. However, on Wednesday they are lined up against the 24-year-old sensation that is Ivan Toney. The English forward has 25 goals and 9 assists this season and is having one of those years where he cannot put a foot wrong. Toney first caught fire at Peterborough, where he spent his last two seasons, but this year he has somehow improved across the board.
The list of clubs that Ivan Toney has 𝐍𝐎𝐓 scored against in the Championship this season:
Birmingham City;
AFC Bournemouth;
Cardiff City;
Derby County;

But, it does not just end there with Brentford’s attack. Sergi Canos and Bryan Mbeumo are lethal on the wings with a combined 23 goals between them. Josh Dasilva sits behind them in the midfield which equates to an honestly delightful attack. Brentford’s defense can be shaky at times, but that is what they are willing to risk with the style of play they put forward. Expect them to attack this game with a fury as it is their last chance to directly narrow the gap between themselves and Norwich.

Norwich Eyes Promotion
Managed by Daniel Farke, Norwich have found themselves looking to go straight back into the Premier League. They currently sit ten points above a Promotional Playoff spot, but with 13 games remaining, the job is not yet finished. Of course, Norwich are completely aware of this as they have been winning matches at a blistering pace. Teemu Pukki has continued to be the fabled goal-scorer he is known to be with 18 to his name this season.
The perfect combination…
🤝 Buendia has provided seven assists for Pukki this season, more than any other duo in the Championship!

Additionally, his Argentinean counterpart, Emiliano Buendia has racked up 19 goal contributions on his own to make quite the pairing for Norwich. In the last four matches between these sides, the results have gone straight down the middle with two draws, a win and a loss for each club. Both sides are completely fit as well which should make this game quite a spectacle. Lastly, one thing to note is that in their last five head-to-head matches, they have hit the ‘Under’ on 2.5 total goals, four times.
Norwich vs Brentford Best Bet
While the ‘Under’ is historically relevant in this match, the best bet is the Norwich moneyline at +120. Brentford’s offense is electric and I do believe Ivan Toney will get a goal in this one, but I think their openness going forward will hurt them. Norwich have proven time and time again this year that they deserve to be back in the Premier League and lift silverware in the Championship. This match is crucial to that outcome which is why I see them winning the three points at home on Wednesday. Overall, with odds of +120, this bet is really hard to beat.
My Pick: Norwich moneyline (+120)
