  • Leicester favored to beat Crystal Palace
  • Spurs searching for first league win since September

After an eventful week of Carabao Cup action, the Premier League is back this weekend for the 11th round of fixtures. Frank Lampard’s Chelsea saw their winning streak come to an end at home to Manchester United and are looking to get back on track away to struggling Watford.

Leicester thumped Southampton 9-0 on Friday Night Football last week, but they’re in for a tougher test this time around as they head to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace. The Foxes, if Manchester City drop points, could move into second place.

Two of the league’s underachievers, Tottenham and Everton, meet at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon. Both managers are under pressure to record a victory.

Odds taken Nov. 1.

EPL Pick 1: Watford vs Chelsea

Defeat to Manchester United ended Chelsea’s seven-match winning streak, but the Blues head to winless Watford as heavy favorites. Chelsea have won their last six away from Stamford Bridge and will move third if they avoid defeat with Leicester not playing until Sunday.

Watford have improved under Quique Sánchez Flores. They are still looking for their first win in the league, however, and lost to Everton in the Carabao Cup in mid-week. Hard to beat and with three draws on the bounce in the league, the Hornets will make it difficult for Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Lampard has plenty of attacking at his disposal, though, and Chelsea should have enough to break down the Watford backline. Christian Pulisic is in line for a third consecutive start and could be a difference-maker for the Blues again after his perfect hat-trick last weekend.

Tammy Abraham hasn’t scored since September 6th, but the England international has still been getting chances and looks good value to lead Chelsea to victory on Saturday.

Picks: Tammy Abraham to have 1+ goals, Tammy Abraham to have 2+ shots on goal, Chelsea to win, both teams to score and total goals over 1.5

EPL Pick 2: Crystal Palace vs Leicester

Brendan Rodgers made nine changes for Leicester’s cup match against Burton. Having secured a place in the last eight, Rodgers will likely restore the team that thrashed Southampton this weekend. Matty James is the only injury absentee.

Crystal Palace came from behind to snatch a point against Arsenal last weekend. Roy Hodgson is expected to name the same side this weekend. Jordan Ayew will lead the line and the industrious midfield triumvirate of Cheikhou Kouyate, Luka Milivojevic and James McArthur will look to limit space for Leicester’s playmakers James Maddison and Youri Tielemans.

A hat-trick against Southampton has made Jamie Vardy the top scorer in the league. The former England international has been nominated for Premier League player of the month – he’s regained his best form under Rodgers. In Europe’s top five leagues, only Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski have scored more league goals in 2019 than Vardy’s 21.

The Palace defense has ridden its luck so far this term. Even if the Eagles nullify Maddison and Tielemans, Vardy will get supply from Harrison Barnes, Ayoze Perez and the overlapping full-backs. He’s a good bet at +120 to score anytime.

Pick: Jamie Vardy to score at +120

EPL Pick 3: Everton vs Tottenham

At the start of the season, being two points behind Tottenham at the start of November would’ve sounded good for Everton. Spurs have been poor so far, though, winning just three of their 10 league outings and Everton are only two points above the relegation zone. Mauricio Pochettino and Marco Silva are both in need of a positive result here.

Silva, who saw his side lose 3-2 to Brighton last weekend, has a few selection issues ahead of Sunday’s late kick-off. Bernard could well miss out through injury, which may see Gylfi Sigurdsson start in the front four. Seamus Coleman and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are in contention to start. Centre forward continues to be an area of concern for the Toffees – Richarlison has only scored twice this season.

Poor finishing has been a problem for Everton once again. They are severely underperforming their expected goals, though they are generally making good decisions in the final third (Silva’s side are taking 59% of their shots from inside the area).

Tottenham’s defense – 15 goals conceded in 10 matches – has been vulnerable and the attack is clunky. Everton should create plenty. The hosts are a good bet to get their fourth home league win of the season.

Pick: Everton to win at +168
