Dortmund, meanwhile, is priced at a surprisingly wide +245 with the draw at a highly attractive +295.

This may chiefly be the case because of Leipzig’s good home record.

It has won four times and lost only once at home while scoring an impressive 18 times on its own patch; conceding five.

However, this may nevertheless be misleading.

Those four home wins were achieved against teams currently placed in the lower half of the table – Stuttgart, Hertha Berlin, Vfl Bochum and bottom-placed Greuther Furth.

When mighty Bayern Munich came to town on September 11, Leipzig suffered a 4-1 hammering.
