The Five Stripes beat New England 1-0 in their first playoff game and beat the Philadelphia Union 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Star forward Josef Martinez and midfielder Julian Gressel each scored in the win.

Toronto FC upset No. 1 NYCFC in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, giving them a 12-game unbeaten streak. The Reds beat NYCFC in dramatic fashion with a penalty goal from midfielder Alejandro Pozeulo in the 90th minute. Toronto goalkeeper Quentin Westberg made a clutch save down the stretch.

Toronto FC played 120 minutes in the first round of playoffs against No. 5 DC United and beat them 5-1.

TFC played NYCFC without one of their star attacks, Jozy Altidore, due to a quad injury. TFC was also missing centre back Omar Gonzalez due to a hamstring injury. NYCFC’s Héber didn’t start the match, but tallied 30 minutes of playing time.

Western Conference Finals

Against the Seattle Sounders,  LAFC leads with an all-time record of 3-0-1 in two years. The two teams are 1-0-1 this season and 2-0-0 at Banc of California Stadium, where the Western Conference Final match will take place.

Vela scored a record-setting 34 goals for the season and helped his team to its first-ever playoff game.

Seattle played an extra-time thriller against Dallas in the first round, finally putting the game away 4-3. They reached the Western Conference Finals for the third time in the last four years to beat Real Salt Lake 2-0. Seattle midfielders Gustav Svensson and Nicolás Lodeiro scored one goal apiece in the win.

The Sounders have strong veteran players in their lineup that are important if they are to beat LAFC.

Best Value

LAFC are the best regular-season team in history and are the best bet at -165 odds.

LAFC is holds a 1-0-1 record against Atlanta this season.

Toronto FC pulled off an upset and has momentum. The last time they won the Cup was in 2017 with a healthy Altidore scoring the lone goal in the win. It’s uncertain if he will return for the Eastern Conference Finals. At +670 odds there’s less certainty in the value of the bet.
