Borussia Dortmund vs Lazio
A win for either team will secure their place in the knockout rounds. Both can progress if they draw and Club Brugge fails to beat Zenit in Belgium. Since losing to Lazio on Matchday 1, Dortmund have been perfect in the Champions League, winning all three matches to nil. They put in their worst performance of the season in a loss to Koln at the weekend, though they weren’t alone in their domestic struggles.
Lazio are ninth in Serie A and registered their third league defeat of the season on Sunday, falling 3-1 to Udinese. The Italian side drew with both Brugge and Zenit. Their defense has been shaky (no Champions League clean sheets, 16 goals conceded in 10 Serie A matches) and their attack has not been as potent as last season. They rank in the bottom third of Champions League teams in touches in the opposition’s box with 64 – that’s less than half of Dortmund’s figure.

Dortmund’s performance against Koln was no more than a blip. They are a good bet to bounce back strongly on Wednesday and confirm themselves as group winners with a match to spare.
Pick: Dortmund -1 (-105)
Manchester United vs PSG
Not many teams have a recent record against PSG as good as Manchester United’s. The phenomenal win in Paris a couple of seasons ago was followed by a Matchday 1 win, but Manchester United have stuttered since then. A loss in Turkey on Matchday 4 represented an opportunity missed. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are through with a win on Wednesday, though a defeat will see PSG join them on nine points and Leipzig could also move onto nine if they beat Istanbul Basaksehir.

While United overturned a two-goal half-time deficit to win 3-2 at Southampton on Sunday, PSG are struggling in Ligue 1 by their standards. Defeat to Monaco was followed by a draw with Bordeaux. The Parisians are in poor form, and their defense has been among the worst in the Champions League. Only three teams have allowed more shot-creating actions per 90 minutes.
Manchester United are well-equipped to absorb PSG’s attack. They are one of the best teams at tackling dribblers (39.6% success rate) and have been dribbled past the second-fewest times in the competition. They will make it difficult for the visitors – United to avoid defeat is a good bet, even at a short price.
Pick: Manchester United Win or Draw (-175)
Sevilla vs Chelsea
What looked like a favorable group has proved to be just that for Sevilla and Chelsea. The two strongest teams on paper in Group H have 10 points apiece after four matches, confirming their spot in the knockout rounds. The two sides drew 0-0 on Matchday 1. It was a stalemate, a result both managers were happy to settle for, and that decision has been justified with the three consecutive wins since then.
Edouard Mendy has now kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League this season.

They are different teams now, however. Sevilla have bounced back from a poor start in La Liga to win three on the bounce. Chelsea are legitimate Premier League title challengers and the defensive issues that haunted Frank Lampard earlier in the campaign are a distant memory. Lampard will rotate significantly for this match – it’s likely that Thiago Silva rests and N’Golo Kante could sit out.
There were eight goals across Sevilla’s two matches with Krasnodar – that theme is unlikely to continue here. There will hopefully be more chances created than on Matchday 1 (there were 11 total shots), but this isn’t going to be a thriller. Lampard will be content with another draw, which would keep Chelsea top of the group.
Pick: Draw (+240)
