It shouldn’t come to any surprise that Tsitsipas is the heavy favorite in his match, listed at -900. His opponent, World No. 137, Lehecka is listed at +550.

Tsitsipas the Favorite

The 23-year old has been the favorite to win the tournament since it started, so it’s no surprise that he’s here in the semifinals.

The Greek had a hiccup in his first match, where he dropped the second set against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, but managed to win in three sets. From then on, he has been lights out, having yet to drop a set since. In his quarterfinal match, he defeated Alex de Minaur 6-4, 6-4, extending his head-to-head record against the Australian to 7-0.

De Minaur put up a fight against Tsitsipas, but the Greek outplayed his opponent from the start. Tsitsipas recorded 19 winners and managed to 82 percent of points when landing his first serve.

Tsitsipas defeated de Minaur in just an hour and a half, and will look to do the same thing to his semifinal opponent Lehecka.

Lehecka’s Unexpected Run

Very few people expected the 20-year old Czech to be here in the final four. Lehecka blew through the qualifiers, and saw himself up against Canadian Denis Shapovalov. He surprised everyone when he upset the 22-year old in straight sets.

The round of 16 and the quarterfinals were tougher tasks for Lehecka, where he lost a set each match, but he managed to find a way to win. He defeated US Open quarter finalist Botic van de Zandschulp and most recently Lorenzo Musetti.

In his quarterfinal match against Musetti, it took Lehecka two hours and 10 minutes to defeat his opponent 6-3, 1-6, 7-5, booking his spot in his first semifinal. He recorded six aces, and only one double fault, while landed 73 percent of his first serves.

Best Bet

To bet against Tsitsipas here would be tough. After a less than ideal start to the year at the ATP Cup, the Greek stepped it up at the Australian Open, and managed to keep the momentum going at the Rotterdam Open. He’s the overwhelming favorite here due to rank and experience on tour.

We haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary from Tsitsipas this week. He’s playing very strong tennis, with his dominant serve, and strong groundstrokes.

Lehecka does have a ton of momentum on his side, and that’s what, if anything, will allow him to keep up with Tsitsipas in this semifinal match. Never say never, the Czech does have a chance to upset Tsitsipas, but there will have to be a lot of things that fall in his favor.

Best Bet: Tsitsipas in straight sets 2-0 (-310)

Auger-Aliassime on the Hunt

Auger-Aliassime is still on the hunt for his first ATP Tour title, but he’s one step closer when he made the semifinals here at the Rotterdam Open.

The 21-year old had to fight his way back after losing his first set of his opening match here in the Netherlands. But since losing that opening set, the young Canadian has ripped through his opponents.

Auger-Aliassime put on a show against Andy Murray, defeating the Brit 6-3, 6-4, and most recently defeated Cameron Norrie in a tight straight set win, winning 7-5, 7(7)-6(4).

The Canadian’s impressive serve was on display once again against Norrie, where he recorded 13 aces to just four double faults. He landed 60 percent of his first serves, and won 86 percent of points when landing that first serve. Norrie only managed two aces and a 54 percent win percentage on his first serves.

Rublev Defending his Title

Last year Rublev defeated Tsitsipas in straight sets in the semifinals of the Rotterdam Open to move onto the finals. This year, it’s possible we get a rematch of that semifinal in the finals. But Rublev has a tough opponent in front of him in Auger-Aliassime.

The Russian has shown more of his old form this week after a tough start to the year. After just a third round appearance at the Australian Open, Rublev has dominated his three opponents here in Rotterdam.

He defeated last year’s finalist Marton Fucsovics 6-4, 6-3, while landing 74 percent of his first serves.

Auger-Aliassime vs Rublev Head-to-Head

Auger-Aliassime and Rublev have faced each other twice before, with Rublev leading their head-to-head 2-0. Their first meeting came in 2018, with their most recent match happening in 2020.

If this was the opening match for these two, many would take Auger-Aliassime over Rublev because of how the Russian has been playing. But now after an impressive week, it’s Rublev who is the favorite heading into this match.

Both players have a strong serve, with the Canadian holding the slight edge there. But Rublev has the head-to-head edge, leading 2-0.

Because of consistency and performance this year, look for Auger-Aliassime to take the match.

Best Bet: Auger-Aliassime (+130)
