Chelsea and Atletico Madrid will clash this Saturday in an odd UEFA Champions League semifinal, but which should be tremendously even in all phases of the game.  The first leg is this Tuesday at 14:45 PM ET at Vicente Calderon stadium, in Madrid.

Chelsea had been here before over the last decade, but this particular team arrives at this matchup after losing to Sunderland in the Premier League during the weekend, basically surrendering the League title race.

“I can say that we gave our best, I saw after the game that every player was sad because of the result,” the 25-year Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic said.

“We tried, we fought until the end for the result, until the last minute, and we were unlucky not to win. Everybody knew how important it was for us, this game, but that’s football. Now we can’t do anything, we have to look forward, get focused on the Champions League, because as you know the Premier League title is going to be difficult to win.”

Atletico won over the weekend and now is on the verge of winning the Spanish la Liga Title; they are really close of achieving something unexpected at the beginning of the season.

Chelsea and Atletico met in Madrid in the 2009 season and they tied 2-2; however, in 2012 they met in UEFA Super Cup and Atletico won 4-1.

Atletico is listed -105 to win the first leg in the soccer money line, while Chelsea is +270 and the draw is listed +240.
