Mexico needs at victory at Jamaica if they don’t want to have problems with the World Cup qualifiers.  Both will meet in Kingston on Tuesday at 9:30 PM ET for the fourth round of the CONCACAF qualifies.

Mexico has three draws in three games, two at home, and a potential loss or another tied will get this team in troubles.  They know it. “We have confidence in what we do,” coach Chepo de la Torre said in a press conference. “The same (criticism) was said about the Olympics and the results were good.”

“It’s true we’ve lacked goals, but that’s why we are preparing,” he said. “It would be ideal to win the upcoming three games.”

Jamaica tied with Mexico in the Azteca in the first game of the fourth round, also tied against Panama in Kingston and lost to Costa Rica in San Jose; they need the win. However, the Jamaican won’t have the country’s record goalscorer, Luton Shelton for this match.

“It’s a tough job, and that was a tough decision (dropping Shelton), but we have four strikers in the team. Luton Shelton wasn’t called for this game, but that doesn’t mean that he is out of the program, it was just a part of the decision-making,” coach Theodore Whitmore said after the training this week.

The soccer odds for this qualifiers game have Mexico -130 as visiting favorite, and Jamaica +325 as a home dog; the draw pays +240.
