  • The Minnesota Wild visit the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday, December 12th at 9pm ET
  • Vegas lost to a Philadelphia Flyers team that had lost 10 in a row on Friday
  • Read below for Wild vs Golden Knights odds, predictions, and best bet for Sunday

The Vegas Golden Knights look to get back into the win column on Sunday night at home as they host the Minnesota Wild in Sunday NHL action on December 10th. The puck drops at 9pm ET at T-Mobile Arena with Vegas listed as home favorites.

The Golden Knights were heavy favorites on Friday Night against a Flyers team that had lost 10 straight heading in, but they suffered a surprising 4-3 defeat in that contest to Philly.

Will they bounce back against a Wild team on the second half of a back-to-back in Sunday’s NHL odds? Let’s take a look at the Wild vs Golden Knights odds as we break down our best bet prediction.

Wild vs Golden Knights Odds

Game Time Team Puck Line Total Moneyline
9pm ET Minnesota Wild +1.5 (-240) O 5.5 (-113) +110
December 12th, 2021 Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+188) U 5.5 (-107) -132

Odds as of December 11th at Barstool

Minnesota One of NHL’s Early Season Best Bets

The Wild are one of the hottest teams in the league and have been one of the biggest surprises in the NHL this season. They’re bringing a 22% return on investment if you bet them on the moneyline, which is second only to the Carolina Hurricanes.

We’re through about one-third of the season and entering Saturday’s action, the Wild had the 2nd-most points in the NHL, something nobody would’ve predicted before the year began. In fact, they sat atop the whole league Friday morning and weren’t afraid to gloat about it.

Minnesota wasn’t considered a contender for the Stanley Cup at all in October, with odds of +2500 to win it all, but their Stanley Cup odds have shortened tremendously and they now sit amongst the top 10 with odds at +1333.

Where is Kirill Kaprizov in the Hart Trophy Odds?

After signing a 5-year/$45 million contract in the offseason, Kirill Kaprizov has more than justified the amount of money Minnesota spent on him and then some.

He sits top 10 in the league and scoring and had 10 more points than his closest teammate entering Saturday’s action. He also plays on one of the top teams in the league right now, but he’s nowhere to be seen in the Hart Trophy odds. If he continues to play at this level, expect to see him on that shortlist soon.

Vegas is one of the few teams that have beaten the Wild in regulation this year.

Pacioretty Back in Form

While Kaprizov has been lighting it up for Minnesota, the Wild will have to watch out for red-hot sniper Max Pacioretty across the ice. Pacioretty missed most of the year with a broken foot, but has scored in five straight and has seven goals in those games.

Mark Stone, who also dealt with injuries early in the season, is on a seven game point streak as well. Vegas is as healthy as they’ve been all year at this point, although Chandler Stephenson is questionable for Sunday night’s game.

Wild vs Golden Knights Pick

Vegas should come out roaring and ready to play on Sunday after that upset loss to Philly on Friday. They’ll be rested while Minnesota comes in off a Saturday night game against Los Angeles and that’s a big reason I like them in Sunday’s NHL odds.

One thing to watch for is the possibility of a lot of goals and betting the over. Minnesota is scoring almost four goals per game this year, while both teams are top 5 in return on investment when picking the over.

Still, I think betting Vegas on the moneyline  is the best pick. Vegas is 12-2 in their last 14 games playing on one days rest and should be able to jump all over a Minnesota team closing out a four game road trip.

Pick: Golden Knights Moneyline (-132)
