A great Eastern Conference matchup features the Indiana Pacers hosting the New York Knicks this Thursday night at 7 PM ET, at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Pacers are 19-1 at home, and have covered the spread in seven of the last eight games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, including the 116-92 win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday Night.
“It’s a different story when you come to play here,” Paul George, who scored 31 points against the Kings said. “Whatever you’ve done previously, when a team comes in hot, we make that commitment that it’s going to be tough to play here.”
The Knicks lost to the Charlotte Bobcats 108-98 also on Tuesday. They have played four games in the last six nights, and the team looked exhausted.
“I’m not using that as an excuse, but we were a step slow defensively in terms of our rotations,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. “We scored enough points. 98 points are more than enough points. This team averages 93 points and we gave up 108 points, so our defense was non-existent. You just can’t do that, especially on the road.”
The NBA odds have the Pacers as 10 point favorites, and the game total was set at 184.5.
New York is 3-7 in their last 10 games against the Pacers on any court, and 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Indiana.
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of New York’s last 7 games, and in in 7 of Indiana’s last 8 games.
