College Baseball Odds to Win 2025 CWS

TeamOdds
LSU-190
Coastal Carolina+155

Odds as of June 20, at DraftKings.

Last year’s winner, the Tennessee Volunteers, opened as the favorite to win the College World Series again in 2025. However, after regionals, LSU became the +330 favorite to win the CWS, meaning that sportsbooks gave them a 23.26% chance to win their eighth College World Series. A $20 bet on LSU at that time would have won $66, resulting in a payout of $86. LSU is now the -190 favorite to win.

Here are some notes on the notable odds movement we have seen for the 2025 College World Series:

  • [June 20] The College World Series Championship series is set, and Coastal moved from +215 to +155, and LSU moved from +100 to -190 to win the CWS.
  • [June 18] LSU and Coastal Carolina are in the driver’s seat after winning their first two games. Both are just one win away from the CWS Final. LSU is +100, and Coastal Carolina is +215. Arkansas, the favorite heading into Omaha, is not far behind, but they will need to beat LSU twice to advance to the College World Series Final.
  • [June 16] Arizona was the first team eliminated from the 2025 College World Series. The Wildcats lost to Coastal Carolina and then to Louisville. Arizona was +1400 to win the CWS before Omaha.
  • [June 16] Coastal Carolina is one win away from the CWS Final. They have won their first two games of the College World Series and have now won 25 straight games. The Chanticleers’ last loss was on April 22. They were +650 to win the CWS before the tournament, and now they are +195.
  • [June 16] LSU is the +120 favorite to win after a pivotal Game 1 win vs Arkansas. Arkansas’s odds dropped from +195 to +600 after that loss.
  • [June 10] After defeating Tennessee in two games, Arkansas is back to being the favorite to win the 2025 College World Series
  • [June 10] Murray State became just the fourth 4-seed to reach the College World Series after beating Duke in the super regionals. The Racers moved from +12000 to +5000 to win the CWS.
  • [June 10] Coastal Carolina, Oregon State, UCLA, Arizona, and Louisville all had notable College World Series odds moves after super regionals. Coastal moved from +1500 to +625, Oregon State moved from +1200 to +650, UCLA moved from +1850 to +825, Arizona went from +3750 to +1400, and Louisville went from +2650 to +1650 ahead of the College World Series.
  • [June 3] The top two national seeds were both eliminated in regionals, so the odds changed significantly. Arkansas was the favorite heading into the NCAA Tournament, but LSU passed them, moving from +650 to +330. This is despite LSU having to play a Game 7 in regionals vs 4-seed Little Rock. Murray State is the biggest mover in the odds after becoming just the tenth 4-seed to win a regional. The Racers beat the host, Ole Miss, twice to advance to the super regionals. Their odds moved from +70000 to +12000 to win the CWS. Murray State still has the longest odds to win the 2025 College World Series.
  • [June 3] Oregon State, UTSA, and Miami saw their odds increase significantly after winning their respective regionals. Oregon State won the Corvallis regional and now faces Florida State in the supers. The Beavers were +4000 before the tournament and are now +1100. UTSA beat the #2 national seed, Texas, twice in the Austin regional to advance to the super regionals. The roadrunners moved from +9000 to +3500 to win the CWS. Miami was a surprise winner of the Hattiesburg regional. The Hurricanes moved from +15000 to +3500 to win the 2025 College World Series.
  • [May 27] North Carolina won the ACC Tournament. They beat Clemson 14-4 in the championship and saw their college baseball odds improve from +1600 to +975. The Tar Heels host Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Holy Cross in the Chapel Hill regional. The winner of that regional will play the winner of the Eugene regional.
  • [May 27] The SEC had 13 teams reach the NCAA Tournament, which is a record. Texas A&M, which was the preseason No. 1 team, failed to reach regionals. The Aggies opened at +850 to win the College World Series. Vanderbilt and Auburn were the biggest movers in the odds after the SEC Tournament. Vanderbilt won the SEC and received the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Commodores have won eight in a row and moved from +1900 to +925 to win the 2025 CWS. Auburn lost to Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament but still earned the No. 4 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Their odds improved from +2150 to +1700 to win the College World Series due to a favorable road to Omaha.
  • [May 15] Auburn and Oregon both saw their college baseball odds improve this week. Auburn moved from +3500 to +2400 after sweeping South Carolina. The Tigers have won eight of their last nine games. Their only loss in that span was to Tennessee, but they still won the series at Knoxville. Oregon moved from +4500 to +3200 to win the College World Series. The Ducks have won seven in a row and 11 of their last 12.
  • [May 15] After seeing their odds improve, Texas A&M dropped back down from +1400 to +5000 after getting swept by Missouri at home. Those three wins were Mizzou’s first in the SEC.
  • [May 8] We have a new favorite. After sweeping No. 1 Texas, Arkansas is the odds-on favorite to win the College World Series in 2025.
  • [May 8] Texas A&M’s odds continue to improve. After a rough start to 2025, the Aggies have the sixth-best odds to win the CWS at +1400. They are fresh off a huge series win over No. 2 LSU.
  • [May 1] Texas A&M, one of the preseason favorites, has gotten back on track. They opened the season at +850 to win the CWS, but after a tough start, their odds plummeted. Now, they moved from +4000 to +1900 to win the College World Series after winning 11 of their last 15 games.
  • [May 1] Florida and NC State’s odds to win the CWS have fluctuated greatly this season. Florida opened the season at +2200 to win the National Championship, moved all the way up to +10000, and are now moving in the right direction. The Gators are +4250 to win the 2025 College World Series. NC State saw a similar trajectory. The Wolfpack started the season at +4500, then after a month into the year, they were +12000. The Wolfpack have improved and are now +6500.
  • [April 16] North Carolina and Georgia Tech have both seen their odds to win the 2025 College World Series improve significantly. The Tar Heels moved from +3650 to +1550, and Georgia Tech moved from +6750 to +2400 behind Golden Spikes Award Watch List outfielder, Drew Burress.
  • [April 16] Arkansas jumped LSU in the 2025 CWS odds and now have the second-best odds to win.
  • [March 31] Tennessee remains the favorite in the 2025 College World Series odds. After starting the season 20-0, Tennessee saw its college baseball odds move from +700 to +400.
  • [March 31] Texas A&M has been one of the biggest disappointments at the start of the season. The Aggies have the talent of a CWS champion, but with a new manager, there were some question marks heading into the year. They were once +800 to win the College World Series, but they are now down to +5000 after a 13-14 start. They are an abysmal 1-8 vs the SEC in 2025.
  • [March 31] Clemson has seen their College World Series odds improve from +2800 to +1000. Their strong pitching and lineup have led the sixth-ranked Tigers to a 26-5 record.
  • [February 21] A week into the college baseball season, LSU and Texas A&M both saw their odds improve slightly, while Tennessee stayed at +700. North Carolina and Oregon State have seen the biggest shifts in their odds. North Carolina opened at +1800 and is now +1200. The Tar Heels went 4-0 on their opening weekend. Oregon State moved from +2500 to +1800 after an impressive start to the season. The Beavers had some uncertainty heading into the 2025 season as an independent. Oregon State has the talent to win the College World Series, but they will have an interesting path to Omaha, not being in a conference. After going 4-0 in the College Baseball Classic, oddsmakers saw enough to improve Oregon State’s odds.
  • [February 12] After winning the 2024 College World Series, Tennessee opened as the +700 favorite to win the tournament in 2025. LSU (+800) and Texas A&M (+850) are not far behind Tennessee.

College World Series Favorites Before the Tournament

Arkansas (+195)

The Razorbacks have become a regular in the College World Series and are now back in Omaha for a twelfth time. Arkansas has never won the College World Series but has finished as the runner-up twice in school history, most recently in 2018.

Arkansas got the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and cruised through their regional that featured Kansas, Creighton, and North Dakota State. Then it only took two games to eliminate Tennessee in the super regionals.

They were the favorite to win the CWS heading into the NCAA Tournament, but were passed by LSU despite sweeping their regional. This was partially due to their super regional matchup with Tennessee, but after winning two straight games vs the Vols, the Razorbacks are back to being the favorite to win the College World Series in 2025.

LSU (+230)

The LSU Tigers won the College World Series in 2023 behind the arm of Paul Skenes and the bat of Dylan Crews. Last year, they lost in the Chapel Hill Regional to North Carolina in a win or go home game, so 2024 was not a bad season for a rebuilding year in Baton Rouge. They are now back in Omaha in 2025.

LSU ended the regular season 42-13 and 19-11 in the SEC, including series wins over Tennessee and Arkansas. The Tigers won the Baton Rouge regional, but it took seven games, and they had to come from behind to defeat the 4-seed Little Rock to advance to the super regionals.

LSU beat West Virginia in the super regionals to reach their 20th Men’s College World Series. They will face the betting favorite, Arkansas, in their first CWS game.

The Tigers were briefly the favorite to win due to Arkansas’s super regional matchup vs Tennessee, so despite their odds improving after defeating West Virginia in two games, they are back to having the second-best odds to win the 2025 CWS.

Coastal Carolina (+600)

Coastal Carolina is the hottest team in college baseball. The Chanticleers have won 23 straight games after sweeping the Conway regional and the Auburn super regional.

The #13 seed in the NCAA Tournament had to go into Auburn and win in order to advance to their first College World Series since 2016, when they won it all. Coastal Carolina had no problem at Auburn as they beat the Tigers in two games to keep their winning streak alive.

The Chanticleers are +600 to win the 2025 College World Series and are on the opposite side of the bracket as Arkansas and LSU.

How to Bet on the College World Series

Pre-tournament odds: When betting on CWS futures, the best value can be found in the first few weeks of the season. The odds are available before the season starts, so you can call your shot on a team you like with the best odds. An example of this is Tennessee. Another great time to place your College World Series bets is before the NCAA Tournament begins in early June. This way, you have all the information gathered from the regular season before placing your wager.

Lastly, you can wait until right before the College World Series begins. You know which eight teams have made it, you know the matchups and the path of each team, and you can see how they have done in the NCAA Tournament.

Research and analysis: Be confident in your College World Series futures. The best way to accomplish this is by staying informed on the team you would like to bet on pre-tournament. Consider the team’s pitching depth, lineup, and previous success in the tournament.

College baseball is a high-scoring sport, and you will notice a lot of teams have great hitting, but the pitching depth is what separates good teams from great teams. Even midmajors typically have a great Day 1 starter, but then utilize their bullpen for the rest of the series. It is also worth noting that the SEC has won the last five College World Series and six of the last seven.

Timing is important: With any bet, you want to maximize your value. If there is a team you believe can win the CWS, try to bet them earlier in the season for the best odds. Also, if a team you like goes on a tough stretch, which can happen in a 56-game season, trust your research that they can get back on track.

Their odds likely dropped during the losing streak, so you can get them at a good number to win it all.

Overall, stay informed on the teams you are betting on and how their odds move throughout the season.
