Is ESPN BET Legal in North Carolina?

ESPN BET is legal in North Carolina and has been operational since online sports betting in the state went live on March 11, 2024. While in-person sports betting was legal in North Carolina first for retail sportsbooks at tribal casinos, the ESPN BET app and site was legalized through sports betting bill HB 347.

The North Carolina sports betting bill was amended to require each sports betting operator to reach a deal with a North Carolina professional sports franchise, arena, NASCAR track, or PGA tour in order to be eligible for a sports betting license.
