The San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks have given us a memorable series, now they are set to meet one last time this season as they clash in game 7, this Sunday at 3:30 PM ET.

The Spurs had the best record in the league, and shouldn’t be in this position, but they haven’t handled their defensive assignments all that well.

“It doesn’t matter how many games it takes,” Spurs Tim Duncan said after the Spurs’ 113-111 loss in Dallas on Friday night. “We’re not worried or disappointed.”

The Mavs have nothing to lose; they are the underdogs in the series and have pushed the Western Conference defending champions to another level; it’s time to close the deal.

“It’s another one-game season for us,” said Dallas coach Rick Carlisle. “We’ve had them all year. We know what they’re about, and we wanted this opportunity.”

However, Dallas will have to do it without the help of DeJuan Blair, who is suspended for kicking Thiago Splitter.

“It’s tough to miss a regular-season game. To miss a playoff game is a killer,” said Mavs leader Dirk Nowitzki, who is 4-0 and has averaged 28 points and 15 rebounds in Game 7s. “Know how bad he felt about missing that one and watching that one in San Antonio. I’m sure he thought to himself he could have helped us out there.”

The NBA betting odds for game seven has the Spurs as 7 points favorites, and the game total was set at 197.5 points.
